More news, better pics.

Talking of Primaris Space Marines, adding these enhanced warriors to your Chapter (Blood Angels, Dark Angels or otherwise) is about to get a lot easier thanks to some new Easy to Build kits. If you’re a fan of flamers (and who isn’t?), the Easy to Build Primaris Aggressors are for you, while the 12 piece – that’s right, only 12 – Redemptor Dreadnought allows you to get some heavy armour on the tabletop in no time.

And for the filthy heretics:
Grandfather Nurgle will be providing for his children this Christmas as well. Isn’t he generous? New Easy to Build reinforcements are on the way for the Death Guard – and yes, the Myphitic Blight-hauler is among them! This little guy possesses the same grotesque, whimsical charm as the rest of Nurgle’s children, combined with some terrifying firepower. It will be joined by a boxed set featuring three new Blightlord Terminators and a new Lord of Contagion wielding a manreaper – perfect for adding some disgusting diversity to the elite of your Death Guard army.

All these kits cost less than their fully customisable alternatives, meaning they’re a great way to build an army on a budget, too.

Update 2

4 boxed sets confirmed

I really hope they do! Easy-build kits seem to help bring new blood into the genre. Gotta get extra gits for da boss! As long as they continue to have "Advanced" kits then I am a happy camper.

Ho-hum, the Plague Hauler is the only thing really missing from the codex as of right now IIRC.

And as for the loyalist options, curious to see what kind of weapon loadouts these will be getting.

Easy to Build Plague Hauler... that explains with it has 0 options with how easy it could have been to give them more options in a proper multi part kit.

Lord Felthid and the court proably will be the Lord of Contagion of Dark Imperium plus the three plague marines from the Plague Brethren. But... easy to build Redemptor Dread? Thats surprising. If it has a good load out and a good price I'll pick one up, probably.

I really like this. A variety of cheaper and monopose kits for noobies or just to increase the size of your army, or the proper multipose kits.

So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

The Plague Brethren Boys are not Easy Build, so hopefully it will be three new sculpts. Finally seeing the Hauler is great, but it's weird that they'd do a second kit for things like the Redemptor and Aggressors.

Given these are all larger models it will be interesting to see what the price point is like compared to the regular kits. I could be tempted by the Redemptor if the finished model looks good enough. Still the Blight hauler is going to be a big mover I hope that GW have stocked up

The Redemptor sounds unrealistic (and if I’m being totally honest, I’d be sorta jacked about it too, having bought the full kit on release) and Aggressors don’t really make much sense either, considering the full kit is only 3 models. Apply much skepticism here

It all depends on the options available and how many will be in the box, all the other easy-to-build sets provide less than the minimal required amount of models. For all we know it could be a single Aggressor in there armed with flamers (bot bad).

Very skeptical on the redemptor dread, seeing as it only really has potential to eat into the sales of an existing (and brand new) kit.

Seems more likely to me the guy reading the pamphlet misunderstood.

I'm not aware of any easy-build regular dreadnought. The AoBR one was engineered different and kind of basic compared to the regular retail kit.

The Contemptor isn't really 'easy' either, it's just embarrassingly basic in order to make it fit on one sprue.

It's also a kit that might intimidate someone who is comfortable doing things via the easy to build route of Know No Fear and First Strike.

The easy build regular Dreadnought is the AoBR one. It's sold in the "Battle for Vedros" range that only independents and non-hobby shops can stock apparently.

They could stick them together into one bundle box as a 'Dark Imperium Expansion Set'. That'd probably go down well.

I could see that working, hell I'd probably buy it. I do love my Redemptor and didn't think it was too difficult to assemble.

I hope this is true. I'm hoping that Lord of Contagion's followers are two riflemen and a special weapon. Combine that set with the Easy Build Plague Marine box and the banner bearer and you have a nice little skirmish army. HQ and a full seven man team with an icon, champion, and special weapons. I could see them doing this.

The redemptor is a strange choice. One of the key selling points of that kit is how customisable and posable it is.
Overall though I am happy to see these kits as they will probably be cheaper and the shadespire kits have shown what gw is capable of doing with push fit minis these days.

Depending of the price, one box of ... everything, I'll buy for sure. I love the easy to build, they offer a variety in posses for a very cheap price. I always buy one of each.

Very curious how they'll do this - though it explains the Plaguehauler or whatever.

Lord Felthius is also interesting. This is definitely a new direction for GW. It will be confusing as all hell if the kits are close to the same options or cost. I also think they may be opening themselves up to third party stuff again (i.e. selling resin weapon options for a cheaper Redemptor?).

Well I'll grab the deathguard to add to my pile for sure

it could well be that they're testing the waters on price, do cheaper kits really sell better (cheaper, easier for new gamers and ones who don't enjoy the building)? do they sell less well? Do 3rd party bits showing up hurt sales? help sales?

focus groups and questions never really provide the answer only hints

this gives them real data on new ranges with little or no background noise from existing collections

seems a fairly smart move to make

Well, that's cool. Looks like I'll be able to build a full Plague Marine squad using only Easy Build guys after all. I'm down for another Redemptor, too. So, hopefully that and the Blight Hauler will have reasonable prices. I hope these are due for release soon.
