So, with the impending release of Necromunda, I can't help but hope some of the other gangs will be resurrected soon. Do you think we can expect any other gangs? Models? Redemptionists or arbites?

Arbites for me. If they get released I'll buy the game.

The remaining "core six" will be released once per quarter over the course of 2018. In addition, there will be releases from FW of upgrade kits and individual models (per Bloodbowl). As to the Outlanders, I'd guess this is a question for 2019. Although I would not be surprised to see some Spyrers from FW, for example.

Andy Hoare is a big oldhammer fan, and has said he's been going back into the archives for inspiration (hence that beastman). We might see Spyrers (although I hope not), but we could also see up-hivers looking more like the old Brats - using roughly the same sort of equipment as the other gangs, but of a much higher quality (so whatever the new equivalent of one-in-a-million is, perhaps).

Arbites? I'm torn. I want a plastic box set (and a plastic APC), but I'd rather leave those for 40k, and redesign the Necromunda Enforcers so they don't just look like cheap knockoffs.

I'd like to see where they go expanding the setting. New Scavvies (although without so many zombies, this time) and Ratskins, Outlaw gang models that look different to the House gangers (as upgrade kits, perhaps), Pit Slaves, ash waste nomads, that sort of thing. Redemptionists? Perhaps, although I suspect that the revised House Cawdor will be using up that design space, so there might not be room, unless we get an itinerant preacher as a Hired Gun.

Which is ridiculously slow.

Imagine if your fav gang drew the short straw and your precious Van Saars or Cawdor are the Q4/2018 release. Wonderful.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Can I ask - where's the "one per quarter" thing coming from, was it in the WD or something? All I've seen stated categorically was "the other four house gangs will come in 2018". It just seems odd considering they seemingly specifically wanted to pick up the pace somewhat with Newcromunda compared to Blood Bowl.

I’ll do some digging at the Open Day, see if I can straighten that out.

Slow? Yes and no.
No since it appears that each gang gets a box and cards for a price of about 50 Euro.
In this way, it is fine when you play other GW games like 40k or AoS.

That only matters if you're planning to buy all of them. If you only want one and they're the last one to come out it sucks, even worse if your favoured gang is from Outlanders and is last-up in a continued quarterly release cycle, you might well not see your gang until 2021. They've already indicated they're able & willing to go beyond the existing material to expand the setting with entirely new gangs & locations, so it's not as if they *need* to drag the release schedule out so the game doesn't spike and then fade away. Not to mention the inevitable glut of FW upgrades and figure expansions. And I get that GW are a big company with a limited number of release windows in a year, but if it's a case of slots being limited then they should double-up the releases and do a pair in each quarter which would have them finish all the original gangs by mid 2019. It might have a tiny impact on sales, but better that than having a number of folk realising they won't see their favoured faction for several years and walking away, maybe never to return.

All that's assuming the "1 per quarter" thing is actually the case, we'll see what info MDG can wheedle out of them come Open Day.

I'm pretty sure all named characters and hired guns will be resin. I never thought otherwise. This game isn't being handled by the main GW studio its going to be done the same way as the Blood Bowl reboot.

But Redemptionists and arbites sound good to me, after the six main houses of course. But they'll quickly dial down their plans for the game if people don't buy and play it. I really think the future releases of this game depend on the money it brings in during the initial launch and coming few months.

Also the Ratskins, can't forget the Ratskins, i have a feeling they will end up being a Forgeworld gang with a few GW made minis as scouts.

Pitslaves will no doubt make a return likely as a forgeworld item.

Vehicles in Necromunda, i can see this happing through forgeworld, vehicles that take advantage of the terrain so most likely hover vehicles and jump packs of some sort.

Spyrer Hunters imo were a great idea, just the rules weren't balanced well. I would like to see them return but with better rules i think they could be a fun addition.

Monsters will be interesting, i remember the Beastmaster style minis from necromunda with the ripperjacks and other interesting underhive creatures. Seeing more of them would be awesome.

The Delaque were my favourite looking gangin necromunda. Kind of sucks that the new gang release schedule is going to be quarterly because i have a feeling the Delaque will be the last gang added.

The Cowdor imo should be redesigned since the Redemptionists kind of took over their role.

Im kind of hoping for some new gangs as well.

I'd like Enforcers/Arbites, but I can see them being hugely overplayed considering 90% of people say that's what they'd play. Nobody wants to be the gritty, grungy lowborns anymore I guess, which is funny because they were among the least played 'gangs' in the original game.

I'm interested in seeing how the rules change, specifically how the distinctions between gangs are handled. Some of the skills sets/house weapons combos for some of the gangs, (particularly Cawdor) were kinda broken.

I'm an all time Necroholic but having collected 90% of all the original minis I'm not planning on replacing anything. Just curious.

I can see Mad Donna being failcast too sadly.
Anyway, Eschers are coming first and Cawdor shouldnt be far behind them. Orlocs too.

Anyway, my old gang with its converted mini's can finally be dug out so thats a good thing.

Won't be failcast, she'll be Forge World if she does get a release.
Kal Jerico looks more of a sure thing with the Omnibus and print on demand books coming out.

I've still got my 20-odd delaque minis that haven't seen a table in over a decade. If they get rules, then all well and good. If not, I'm fine to have them sit in the shed of shame for another decade.

I'll need to go and dig up the White Dwarf issues to make sure, but I seem to remember there being a significant period between the release of Necromunda and the release of the last of the house gang boxes. IIRC, Necromunda was available at GD '95, and I bought the Escher gang box at GD '96.
