Spoiler:

I have one of these tanks from way back when they were sold previously. It is a fantastic looking kit, which comes with a ton of options for turret weapon and sponsons.
At €54, it is decently priced for the massive chunks of resin you receive. The manufacturer will not continue to produce these after the kickstarter, so get them now or never.
I am not affiliated with the manufacturer.

Size comparrison with Russ:

Interesting design and competitively priced. Pledged for now, not sure if I can hold onto it when it ends due to the upcoming releases, but we'll see.

Very nice kit, a fun hybrid of the LR and Mecharius. Funny how the mind works, I am currently in the process of developing my own 3D printable LR parts, and my turret so far shares a lot of similarities with yours. Great minds think alike

Note that the manufacturer said he will probably not make any more after the kickstarter, so get them while you can.

Nice not-Macharius ;-)

I have lusted after one of these kits for years, but I don't crowdfund anymore. Waiting 3 years for the maxmini kickstarter. I'll pay the eBay surcharge if it comes out. Fething maxmini.......

Those of you that already have this tank, how would you represent this tank in 40k? As a Macharius? I need to be able to use this with my Imperial Guard, or my GSC. It looks too big to be used as a Leman Russ. And I'm not very familiar with Forge World vehicles.

From the kickstarter page: Dimensions are: length: 15cm width: 8,5cm hight with turret 7-8cm

Leman Russ dimensions: l: 11.43cm w: 7.62cm h: 6.85cm(this was done by eye, I didn't have a turret on mine to double check, the hull height without the turret was 5cm)

Macaharius dimensions: l: 20cm w: 11cm(without sponsons, 13cm with) h: 6cm(without turret, vulcan turret adds 2.5cm)

So it appears it's a small amount larger than a Russ, but I don't know if it would be that noticeable and it's not Macharius sized either save maybe the height. Truthfully you could probably field them as Russes and be fine, if you wanted a Macharius stand-in though I think you'll be out of luck.

Edit: Here's a link from the KS, it's a review done by a German website - scroll down for size comparison pics: http://www.brueckenkopf-online.com/2009/review-mortian-battle-tank/

I was thinking these would make decent Malcador tanks, just with a Marcharius style to them.

I would run it as a regular Russ myself. Make a good command tank for an armored company.

Thank you for the response. I saw the pictures of it next to the LR. I was hoping to see pictures of it next to a Macharius. While it is a cool looking tank, I don't think the extra cost is worth it for a Not-Leman Russ. Shame if it is too small for something else.

Well, considering that a FW Russ is £64 I think it's a bargain.

Of course you get the plastic vehicle upgrade sprue with that £64 from FW.

I think I would use these as replacement Russ', despite the size difference, because I think they look like actual tanks in comparison to how small and badly proportioned the Russ' are.

Would be fantastic for a Death Korps army for sure.

I have had a saved search on ebay for a year with not a single hit. As he already has the molds, delivery should be fast. It is estimated to Q1 2018.

It is not that much bigger than a russ, it is more reasonably proportioned, which makes it a fair bit longer. I have used mine for years as a russ with only positive comments from opponents. With it finally being available again, I will buy a Macharius to go with my squadron of Mortians.

I can understand why you thought that comment was about the tank not coming out, but was really aimed at myself, because I am a big tread head. I lack the will to maintain my boycott under the pressure of such magnificent models. They will go well with the Macharius, what better way to celebrate Tanksgivings.

I'll probably get some, too. Should work with my Dreamforge Eisenkern. The tanks being a bit bigger don't matter, as the Dreamforge vehicles are bigger than their 40K counterparts, too.

DAMMIT. I can't believe I missed this one. There are comments from the creator saying that if you bought into the initial sale you're going to get an opportunity to buy more tanks, anyone want to do me a favor and attach my order to theirs?

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
