Hey guys! Got to teach a friend of mine how to play using my newly acquired space wolf army and my wife's tzeench Demons.

It was a small scale game but I put a lot of effort into trying to make an interesting battle report for you.

If you care to take a look at my blog you'll find it there: Wargaming Rebel: [batretp] 40k 8th ? Space Wolfs vs Tzeentch Chaos Demons (500pts) ? Vraki Campaign prologue

The models are beautiful.

Bow down to Guilliman for he is our new God Emperor!

Martel - "Custodes are terrible in 8th. Good luck with them. They take all the problems of marines and multiply them."

"Lol, classic martel. 'I know it was strong enough to podium in the biggest tournament in the world but I refuse to acknowledge space marines are good because I can't win with them and it can't possibly be ME'."

DakkaDakka is really the place where you need anti-tank guns to kill basic dudes, because anything less isn't durable enough.

Thank you! I am liking the colors of Tzeench, but the space wolves I bought used. Still like their darker theme rather than the light blue of the official colors!

I try my best, thanks!

Well they where kind of facing an uphill battle from the setup. We discussed later that, while very fun and thematic, it was unfair to make the space wolves have to walk across a walled section to escape the ambush. We both ahd fun though, and it made for a great report!

The mat was custom made by me by a local retailer. I can share the art if you want, but you'll have to find a place top manufacture it for you.

The flamers are Exalted Flamers from the Start Collecting Demons of Tzeench set. It's the flamer that comes in the Exalted Chariot kit.

Anyway, we fought a second battle! Here's the link to the report!

Great little report, nice mix of narrative and game play. Also reminds me that 750 pointers can be fun and I don't have to wait until 1500-2000 to start gaming with a new army

Woah what a read!

so much character, hard to foresee the outcome, and two well matched forces. truly inspiring stuff. table and miniatures painted nicely as well!

I too have a missile launcher mini made from the space marine hunter killer missile launcher; Mine goes by the name of Brother Caesar! (Ultramarines) It's such an easy conversion and looks really aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks for sharing!
