Does anybody know if there's a size difference between the Wild Wargs and the Fell Wargs from the Hobbit/LOTR?

Here they are:

They're both on 40mm bases. Wild Wargs are a little smaller than Fell Wargs. Fell Wargs are also newer and the sculpting is nicer on them.

I have a couple dozen Wild Wargs for my Isenguard Warg Riders and I have a dozen Fell Wargs for my Gundabad/Hunter Orcs.

The Hobbit wargs look much better than the LotR wargs, I don't understand why Jackson decided that wargs had to be so absurdly unwolf like. I'm almost tempted to get both sets and put the LotR riders on the Hobbit wargs to make a set I like but then I'd be left with a set I hated.

Once painted the older Warg models look pretty great. I have like 24 of them plus Sharku for my Isengard army.

Im think the opposite, tbh. LotR Wargs are unique, they have character, they dont look like overgrown wolves, but like a large canine that people might compare to wolves, but is ultimatley a completely different creature. The Hobbit Wargs though... they just look like cartoon wolves... :/

The GW studio paint job probably has a lot to do with it. By painting the head in such a contrasting color it makes the transition from the canine body jarring. The shortened muzzle, nubbin ears and hairless face makes it look like 2 different animals spliced together.
