Ok, so I know it is about 30 points over, and possibly a bit more, but that doesn't matter, we're allowed to have breathing room. Exactly, the limit is 2300 points. Please give me feedback, and help me improve it from what I have right now. So, in total it has 5+3 command points for 8 in total, 3 free CP, 3 from a Battalion, 1 from a Vanguard Detachment, 1 from an Outrider Detachment

OK, so the strategy for this is to leave the two doomsday arks on some buildings on my side of the board, to pop some tanks. I march Orikan, the Overlord, the 40 warriors, and the Triarch Stalker up the field, and crush whatever's there. That forces the opponent to move some things to the flanks in order to try to get any objectives. At the same time, The Deceiver will grand illusion himself and Zandrekh up the field to hit whatever juicy back parts there are. I will then take the Wraiths if rolling a 2, and a unit of warriors next if rolling a 3. Then, MWBD onto the lychguard from the overlord, and the Oberyn will Ghostwalk himself, and the lychguard to Zandrekh. MWBD from Zandrekh onto the warriors. Basically Silver Tide and Deceiver Hammer and Anvil. Scarabs will swarm one side of the field to cockblock the opponent's flank that wasn't tackled by the other two prongs. By the time they chew through the scarabs, I'd expect the other prongs to be advancing on the last force already (about turn 4). I can definitely get Linebreaker, as well as a good chance of slay the warlord if I pop up next to him, and also First Blood, targeting the soft bits with the deceiver. Then, the objectives will either be contested (scarabs), or secured (scarabs if they have more models than the opponent, most likely the tide, and most likely the deceiver H&A as well). This leaves me with a clear win. The basic idea is for the doomsday arks to simply pop whatever my two prongs can't pop fast enough. Also will CP rolls from turn 3 for Orikan Empowered.

I think this is a pretty good strategy what with 60 to 80 Flayer shots in the center, plus the CC beast that will pop up around the deceiver. What do you guys think? Is there some blatant weakness I have overlooked? All feedback is welcome!

Haha judging from the reaction (or lack thereof) I’m guessing necrons aren’t very popular?

Having recently gotten the metal bug for Necrons my early enquiries are that Necrons are indeed not popular at present - I think that all will change early next year with the new codex (hinted to be soon since they got no updates in the Chapter Approved - along with Demons and orks)

I think you will have a hard time with the big triple threat lists.

Magnus + Morty + Renegade Knight.

If you don't pop Magnus first turn, before he casts Weaver of Fates he is going to be a big problem. Morty is also a monster in combat and will wipe a warrior squad without too much of an issue.

Just something to consider I guess.

Yeah but I really don’t know how to deal with that. Judging from what I can see, I pretty much need to Doomsday him as well as trying to get the warriors in range to do a little.
