I have some spinefist gaunts from an old edition box and wanted to expand the horde's number. I picked up a termagaunt box in the FLGS but it only list the fleshborer and devourer as options. I picked up a similar hormagaunt box and it only listed the scythes as options on the back. Are spinefists still in print? How would I get some?

Spinefists should be in the normal gaunt/termagaunt boxed set. If its not listed on the back it should still be inside the pack itself.

This. The Spinefists in the Termagant kit are on the same weapon sprue as the Devourers. The Warrior kit has a three pairs as well if you happen to pick up any of the new ones.

Any tyranid player will have a big chunk of them lying around.

I probably have close to 100 pairs.

Thanks everyone. Glad to see I can pick up a termagaunt kit. I'm starting to get curious what edition this battleforce box is from. It seems Tyranids used to have very different rules from today's edition.

Tyranids change a fair bit edition to edition; but mostly on weapon choices. Though as of the last edition or two they've expended massivly with a new slew of big monsters

Also note that old battleforces were not always "legal" armies. Eg one edition had a carnifex and gaunts, so no synapse/leader unit. In those days we didn't have any of the other big super-heavies so the carny was pretty much the mainstay so that kind of battleforce was aimed at expanding the core of the army - troops and carny.

The Swarm in a box was fething amazing. I got 2 of those off ebay for about 100 each. Best way to build my forces foundation ever.
