Leviathan Battalion 243pts - 1x Tervigon - Warlord / Adaptive Biology - Massive Scything talons - Stinger Salvo (in Tyranocyte) 162pts - 1x Broodlord - Relic / Maw Claws of Thyrax 70pts - 1x Neurothrope 120pts - 4x Venomthropes 288pts - 6x Hive guard - Impaler Cannons 216pts - 18x Genestealers - 4x Acid Maw - all have scytal 216pts - 18x Genestealers - 4x Acid Maw - all have scytal 96pts - 3x Tyranid Warriors - Boneswords - 2x Deathspitter - 1x Venom Cannon 96pts - 3x Tyranid Warriors - Boneswords - 2x Deathspitter - 1x Venom Cannon 200pts - 30x Termagaunts - 20x Devourers (Trygon Tunnel) 168pts - 1x Trygon - PPT 123pts - 1x Tyranocyte - 5x Deathspitters Total 1998pts - 10 Deployment - 6 CP So the core is a bunch of Genestealers with shrouding (-1 tohit), Invul, and 6+ FnP lead by Broodlord and followed by the Warriors, Venomthropes and Neurothrope. Hive guards stay in the back and double shoot with stratagem as long as they stay big enough. I want to leave 2CP ready for endless swarm on the termagaunt units. I want to drop the Tervigon/Trygon/Tyranocyte and Devilgaunt units as a big distraction to attract the shooting away from the Genestealers and the rest of the main force, I want them to survive to make it to combat. That Devilgaunt unit will be so annoying with Tervigon bringing back 10 models per turn and endless swarm bringing it back even when it died Leviathan to make it as tough as possible. Im a bit low in CP though but I couldnt find a way to get more, a battalion is still pretty good on its own though.

Not sure if your 'Endless Swarm' tactic will work.
In a 2000 point limit army, you have a grand total of 2 points of reinforcement.
Which is not enough to cover the 200 point Termagaunt unit you would be adding.
It might be a neat idea to put the Genestealers in the Tunnel, and the Broodlord in the Cyte, and foot slog the blob of Gaunts up the field with the Tervigon supporting them.

As I understand it, the Reinforcement rule is fine for the endless swarm. Since the Termagaunts unit has already been paid for I dont need to pay for it again even if I bring it back.
Completely new units summonned on the board need to be paid for in seperate points but bringing back units that have already been paid for is totally fine.

Not how it works. Add gants to existing unit to replace one's that dies - no reinforcement points needed. Add a new unit to replace one that died - reinforcement points are needed. Only exception to this is spore mine creation which has a specific exclusion in it's rules.

To be fair, it's not 100% clear, but Tide of traiters adds wording that you don't have to pay for replacement. So that strongly suggests that anything else does. Tervigons "replenish" for free, but pay to "replace/spawn"...what does the Admek strat say? I think they don't pay, but I think it "replenishes" because you use it on an existing unit (remove, return at full strength)
Likely needs a FAQ for RAI, but till then I plan to treat it as reinforcement points needed (and thus without value )

I do feel that 2CP is a bit cheap to replace a Unit but 2 CP to allow a terrible reserve option is not even close to being worthwhile, it could be ZERO CP and I would still never use it
It should be FAQed, something arround the lines of
You do not have to pay points for these new models but it costs: 1CP if the unit is power rating 3 or less
2CP if the unit is power rating 4 to 9
3CP if the unit is power rating 10+

As it stands now Endless Swarm has you paying points for the new unit.
What it's a bit better for is using it with Hydra and a Lictor to drop a unit of Pyrovores back onto their door step. Pyrovores are pretty tough and a rough fight in both melee and range. So if you Tcyte in a full unit of Pyros, blast away at their line, and then bring them back with pheromone trail to place them back in the enemies face you can make a real nuisance of them.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Drop 3 of the hive guard, take a 2nd neuronthrope to get 2 battallions and an extra 3 cp.
Give the Trygon AG.
If have points leftover take a unit of rippers for late game obj grabbing.

That seems like a complicated and expensive plan, I guess it could work but I have a hard time imagining that it would be that good and certainly even harder a time to justify wasting 2CP which could be used to make a team of 6x Hiveguard shoot again.
