Some kind person has leaked the rest of the Silencer info on facebook;

Blackout reads, When attacking, if your shot is obstructed the defender rolls two fewer green dice to a minimum of zero.

The Tech says when an enemy ship in your firing arc at range 1-2 becomes the active ship you can spend your target lock on that ship to perform a free boost or barrel roll if you are able.

The EPT says Action: You may add an evade token to your ship for each obstacle at range one, to a maximum of 2.

Pretty nice stuff.

So no sign of the rumored speed 4 turns, it makes me wonder what could possibly be worth the price tag for the box.

I also noted the Resistance Bomber is crazy more expensive than most large base ships (its RRP is almost the same as the Ghost.)

So it's not the only one with odd pricing.

I will have a crack with my broken French;
PS4 Sienar-Jamus Anaylst.
With its aggressive shape and its impressive firepower, the Space superiority hunter TIE/vn by Sienar-Jamus was designed for elite pilots of the First Order.

PS6 First Order Test Pilot.
Designed for speed and maneuverability, the TIE Silencer was a devastating device in the hands of pilots who know how to draw all its potential. Less talented pilots are unable to master the speed of this vessel.

I think that's pretty close but am sure someone will correct me...

Is there a preview article anywhere? I don't remember seeing one.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

No mate, that's why they are leaks. Only article so far was the wave announcement, though we can expect it out pretty soon.

By soon I mean today or Friday as both waves are released next week.

Come again, both waves are released next week?

And you're pretty spot on for the French to English translation. I wouldn't change a thing.

The only I would say is that for the ''Threat Tracker'', you have to have the barrel roll or boost icons in your action bar to perform them. Unlike, say, the Flight-Assist Astromech.

Maybe Disney upped the licensing fee, for all we know. Would we know about such a move?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The squad builder has only been partially upgraded. Interesting. We have the manoeuvres, but not the point cost of the newly revealed pilots.

So, if Im looking at Blackout right, you can get him 5 Green (3 Base, Stealth Device and Obstructed) and 5 Red (3 Base, Range 1, and Trick Shot). I mean you have to build specifically for that, but I mean he does work around Obstruction.

From the preview article:

Although it's technically a small-base ship, the TIE silencer is too long and large a miniature to fit in a standard small-base ship's packaging. And just as it's too large to be contained by standard, small-base plastic, it's too impactful a ship to be contained by standard enemy forces.

See, its just too awesome to not be worth that price.

Ha glad my French was good enough. Release date for this (combined) wave is 07/12, and most stores have their stock ready to go.

IMHO i reckon that "Blackout" is the better pilot out of this pack. Kylo is disappointing as always but Blackout seems pretty solid with his ability and it probably wouldn't be hard to keep behind obstacles for several turns.

Nope. PS 9 is all that matters. Kylo's pilot ability could be blank and he'd still be the clear winner. At PS 9 you can use PTL, which this ship requires. At PS 7 you are locked into VI, and giving up that ridiculous action bar. It's the same reason why the only TIE interceptor is Soontir Fel, with Carnor Jax maybe occasionally appearing as a control element. A situational firepower buff doesn't come anywhere near making up for the value of an extra action every turn.

Hmm, after spending way too long in YASB, I'm really struggling to make a list that this thing fits into.

It's high point cost makes it really awkward to fit in a list alongside other aces.
This list is the best I could come up with going pure aces, and it has its problems (Inq with no insurance against close threats, piddly points bid, & Kylo lacking his title or a tech, though I suppose one could switch FCS for Vanguard). Might be better with Sabacc instead of Inq.

Ok, so what about a Palp shuttle build? Again, too expensive to really fit another proper Ace alongside. Even the Inq is too expensive, so it's basically fall back on OL or plop in Sabacc.

Hopefully I'm able to get my hands on this bad boy before next Saturday to try some of these lists out, along with maybe some other combinations.

In the end it might be better off flying alongside more generics.

Generics was my thought;

http://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Galactic%20Empire&d=v4!s!286:18,43,254:-1:15:;270:-1,-1:56:16:U.110,U.247;270:-1,-1:56:16:U.110,U.247&sn=New%20Squadron&obs=

Though a pair of pocket aces seems good OLeader especially but Quickdraw could also be handy. Flying against this ship for the first time tonight and am excited to see what it can do (I am playing my Kimoglia list).

I tried to make a list with QD and Kylo, but you end up with very few points left for a 3rd ship (basically only enough for an Academy TIE, or Wampa if you go with a cheap/free title on QD) unless you go a bit more barebones on Kylo & QD. Still worth testing though.

Also the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking I prefer Sabacc over Inq in my first list, if only because it'll give Kylo more points to work with, and a option for more of a bid.

Primed thrusters is surprising can you explain why? I would have thought the option to mod your attacks/defence would be more valuable than repositioning.

Whats your overall thoughts on the Silencer Peregrine?

I'm not him, but my assumption would be that there's no better 1pt tech options. Everything else in the list is basically build-mandatory so there's not really a good place to shave off more points.

Only one point available for the last slot.

Kylo Ren is really good, potentially top tier. PS 9, good action bar, ridiculous dial, autothrusters, and a good stat line. Advanced sensors + PTL + boost/BR, all at PS 9, is really strong. And his pilot ability is just a nice bonus, threatening to cripple opposing aces if they risk shooting at him. The rest of the pilots are bad, probably unplayable.

You are welcome, especially as it seems I go it near enough.
Played a couple of games on vassal in the end and have to say its a very hit and miss ship. Catch it without actions or get the drop on it and it melts, the dial saves it so much but the cost is really too much. Gonna have to play against it a few more times but it seems to fit in as a played well, damn good. Played mediocre, thanks for the MOV.

I could drop Adv Optics into Primed Thrusters, but I don't think a bid is crucial in that list. Kylo is pretty durable at range and out of arc, and he actually wants to occasionally get hit to trigger his ability.
