Subject: Quick question about the Carnifex brood kit
|
 |
Fresh-Faced New User

Hello
For anyone who has bought a Carnifex before, I'm interested in knowing how many devourers you get in the sprues? I know the brood box contains two models, but is there enough for one devourer on each arm per Carnifex?
Basically I want to know whether I have enough in a box of two to make at least one of them with 4 devourers before purchasing.
Thanks very much!

Highly doubtful, the standard fex kit contains a single pair of dev arms and a single pair of ds arms on the same frame as a single Venom and a single strangler.

So the brood set that contains two carnifex would contain a total of 4 devourer arms? That's what I would want. So one Carnifex with four devourers and one with two pairs of scything talons.

Yeah, you could split them to make a SC and a dakkafex

This is a carnifex devourer next to a termagant devourer
Note that the gun is the same size. Just the arm holding it is different.
You can easily chop up and glue together some arms to make more carnifex devourers.

Also note, they look REALLY dinky on the carnifex. I kit bashed my own TL devourers because those arms look so goofy on the fex.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Forge world also does a twin linked devourer set that you could use and is a better size match

Dreadful photography and antique kit, but I love to make my dakkafexes into quadrupeds with upper limbs as forelegs and middle limbs each packing a double gun
