For those of you who, like me, really love the miniatures provided by GW for this strategy battle game but are interested in using them with a different ruleset, I ask that you check out my conversion to SAGA found here:

Note that SAGA is a larger-scale skirmish ruleset, something between SBG and GW's War-LotR rules.

Really? Most 6 point SAGA games (roughly 48 models) will have less than or equal to a normal SBG sized battle.

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

I've seen a lot of people pushing SAGA to higher and higher point limits so if the OP is one of them, he couple be playing with forces that rival typical SBG armies. Personally, I don't like the SAGA rules form games much bigger than 6 points or so.

We play SAGA games in the 4-6pt range... and given we are all family guys, we tend more toward the low end than 6 pts.

Note, when I said "that SAGA is a larger-scale skirmish ruleset...," I was not referencing number of models in a game, but rather the scale of command / organization. In SBG, one is commanding each model individually. There are no unit groupings. SAGA has units, so its scale is a bit zoomed out relative to SBG but, given how few units there typically are in SAGA, it is not as zoomed out scale-wise as in the WotR ruleset.

I have made a substantial update to my LotR Saga files, so click on the link to see a summary of the changes.

Ooh, nice! First I've seen of this, and I'm really glad I popped into the SBG section. I see on the other thread you're planning on moving it to V2 rules. Super jazzed for it. Thanks for the hard work!
