So I just ordered Chief Librarian Tigurius from the store and I'm not really a fan of his face lol

So has anyone ever done a conversion for him? I tried googling conversions but it mainly comes up with just librarian conversions, which are great but I'm looking for maybe shoving a helmet in his hood. But I'm a little curious if there's enough "meat" to carve out his head and cables and such.

Thanks in advance for any advice and thought!

Are you carving out the head and the cables or just the head? It's finecast which is soft resin so as long as your hobby knife is new/sharp then it shouldn't be an issue as long as you don't mind mangling the head. Just be careful around the edges of the head to preserve the cables and spoon out the head in pieces. A ball tip grinding bit or file should smooth out the cavity after you're done getting out the big pieces.

I did one, though not painted, I can post if you want.

Here I'll post it.

The issue is mainly that Tiggy himself doesn't exactly have equipment that would make him stand out in particular. You can pretty much do the job with any Librarian with a giant stick used to hit people.
In my case I want little to no bling on my Marine commanders. This one is using the front half of the MkIII armor, and then the back half is a Grey Knight (while the two fit together, they aren't terribly great looking until paint is thrown on. I then used the Staff from the Grey Knight kit and cut out the skull, and the hand extending will eventually be Green Stuffed to incorporate a lightning or fire sorta thing. Hadn't decided yet. Then lastly the head and backpack are from FW.

Not perfectly cleaned up yet as you can see, but everything is a work of progress at the moment so...

I'd post the picture directly but I can't remember how to resize the pictures on Imgur so it's a link.
