It had some good critics in German newspapers, so my wife and I started watching it.
We have 3 episodes left and overall it's very very good.
First few episode were pretty dark and sinister, and from the moment it gets involved with

, it certainly gets complicated but manages a solid foundation of mystery that, even if you guessed something right before they it was revealed, only end in dead ends due to missing pieces of the whole puzzle.
There are some similiarities with Stranger Things, but it's humourless (it's German after all and we don't have humour), bleak and everyone seems to hide a secret. Pretty much a Stranger Things for adults and less nostalgia.
As the show goes on, more and more is revealed when connections are made, but it keeps bringing new characters in, that complicate everything again and keep you guessing.
We love it so far, I hope it manages a good finale.

I've watched a few eps.
I haven't done a blood test to confirm, but I'm almost positive that it's the offspring of Stranger Things and The Returned (the French version). It's more like the latter in terms of style and mood. Story points might remind one a bit of the former.
It's next in line once we finish with Mindhunter (which is decently good)
We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

Ending was a bit lame, no grand revelation, just more pieces fitting together and some suggestions of a possible plot twist for season 2.
Overall still a good show.
Two episodes so far. That really is dark. I like it.

Ah goddammit. It's dubbed. I'd honestly rather read subtitles.
Tried to watch it this weekend with the wife. Darn it.

You can change it back to German and use the English Subs.
See, this is why the whole internet thing was a good idea. Thanks!
