Hi all, still rolling around some ideas for my Eldar Swooping Hawks. Can anyone tell me how well Tyranid Gargoyle wings would match up with the older metal Hawks? I don't have access to anyTyranid models in the flesh for a size comparison.

Like, they might be too small perhaps?

I was going to use Scourge wings, and still might - but they are very expensive...

Cheers

I can't answer your question.

But had you considered any other alternatives? I'm not sure how many sets you need, but a google shopping search for "28mm wings" pulls up a bunch of earrings/pendants that are rather cheap that would (at least to me) fit the aesthetic for swooping hawks rather nicely.

Yeah interesting idea. I'll check em out. I'm pretty open minded about what I use, as long as I'm totally happy with the results in the end.

Gargoyles just came to mind because the wings look quite nice and they often come up cheap on ebay for some reason.

Not that you'd necessarily want that exact style, but the point being that as I continued reading higher into cost there were multi-winged charms and 20+ lots for chump change lol.

Thanks mate, they actually look like they size pretty well. Not too small at all.
