Really love the shifting haircolor. How did you do that? Would like to try it on my witch elves.

Thanks. I lay on a light color, and while it is still wet, add a darker value, teasing it with the brush to blend with the first. So on and so on until I reach the top.
A wet palette of any kind to mix colors is helpful too.

So you work on a white/light base for the hair and then blend in some darker color, as a wash or a really diluted paint? Will try that! Normally I simply highlight the tips.

I do start with a white base, then when dry put on a coat of light pink. I used diluted paint, but only to the consistency of milk. Hope that helps. But as always, there are several ways to achieve the same effect.

Wicked!

I particularly like what you did with the bases. Do you mind sharing your technique for the corroded/rusted look?

Thanks. I got the technique from another fellow at Yaktrumunda. Start out with a white base, then covered with a yellow Casnova (spelling?) wash. Using a bit of foam, I dabbed the base lightly with dark brown (Rhinox hide).
Then some Fuegan orange wash, cleaning up excess with a paper towel. Oh, plus a touch here and there with Leadbelcher.
