Hi there!
So, this is gonna be a space for me to share my projects, my ideas, my hopes, my failure and my learning process.
Mostly I’ll post and write about wargaming, sometimes I will rant, a few times I might share something personal. Is gonna be another “Thing” I do, to feel part of something and increase myself esteem towards my creativity.
A bit of bio as introduction and then I’ll show you a couple of things I did lately.
I’m a 33 Italian guy who been living in Sweden for the past 5 years, so if my English is a bit weird, just pretend you are reading a badly written spin off from Sopranos. If you don’t know what or who Sopranos are, well dunno what to tell you.
So far so good with life;oh and the weather is lovely.
I’ve been playing warhammer since I was about 10, alternating periods of mayhem in my life to periods of growth and enjoyment. This is the longest I manage to be sober and happy and I intend to stay on this path. Weirdly enough, whenever I feel good, warhammer is a part of my life.
When I got in the game there were a lot of weird scenarios, Orks where funny, Abbadon was tough guy and Slaneesh was a thing. People made their hills out of burning polystyrene, because feck cancer, trees out of wire and tables out of granny’s poker quilt, with cigarettes holes and wine stains on the corner. Dunno if they were better times, but they were simpler.
20+ years forward, some hair have been lost, an uneven beard grew and that great Iron Maiden album became a tattoo.
From painting a miniature a month, this year I collected and painted 1 and half army.
At the moment I own those armies 2,5k BA, 2k DG, 3,5kTyranids, 4K Deamons and 2k Orks. The Tyranids army is the first whole40k army I ever painted, the daemons are mostly painted and the DG and BA are grey and lonely on the shelf. Atm I’m focusing on the Orks because I was in love with them since I was 10 and this is the first time I allow myself to collect and paint them as I think they should look like.
Also me and my friend Oscar has just bought what would be my first gaming mat and we are digging the terrain building experience as excited kids; I was up until 2am watching YouTube and the net for tips and suggestions.
Now, enough text, this Trukk is the latest thing I painted and I’m going nuts with experimenting with weathering and pigments. I loved painting the model, but assembling it afterwards was a pain in the ass.
