Normally I don't post threads. But I feel that this is a special occasion and that this warrants a light hearted thread for once.
Que the John Wick reference, but I have acheived my impossible task.
There is no lead mountain. As of twenty minutes ago, on the sixth of December, 2017, my collection of models is one hundred percent painted.
This includes, but is not exclusive to:
About 200 khador models (warmachine).
About 100 circle models (hordes)
About 100 retribution models (warmachine)
A random assortment of WMH minions and mercenaries
About 100 Infinity models (Ariadna, pan-o, yu-jing etc)
About 200 odd roman legionnaires and other historical models (for a friend; various historicals)
About 250 lord of the rings models (Rohan, some uruk-hai, gondor).
About 40 odd models from hasslefree minis (great site, not game linked).
About 30 odd dreamforge isenkern storm troopers
About 20 anvil industries exo-lords and afterlife minis ('not-marines' and 'not-guardsmen')
About 70 oop metal Cadian kasrkin.
The final models painted, and which brought it up to 100% painted are a complete betrayal at calth 30k/40k force (as imperial fists) - dreadnought, six terminators, 30 legion marines and 2 commanders.
I think all told (and I'm pretty sure I've forgotten some few bits and pieces above, that's about 1250 models. All painted.
And I'm well chuffed with myself now! Has any one else acheived their impossible task?
now that my marines are out of the way, I think I can actually focus on my upcoming wedding! Or else plan a new project!

Congratulations! I haven't had my backlog totally cleaned out since I got seriously involved in the hobby, I'm impressed.

You sir sound like you have a major problem that can only be solved by buying more miniatures. I would suggest getting some Sigmar guys, like the new Kharadon Overlords, they are fun to paint!
Sometimes I feel bad about my massive backlog of minis but I also like the fact that I can't declare myself "done," because I do not want the journey to end.

Way to go! I am expecting an airbrush soon, which will speed things up considerably. But still envious of your current situation lol.

Quick, but some more! It’s a well established fact that you will die soon after you paint your last mini.

I would like to point out that OP has not posted since creating this thread.
I think we know what has happened.

Nice job! I'll echo other posters here and say you're doing way better than me. I've got so many unpainted models, I don't think I could do them all in 3 years even if I didn't buy a single one during that period.
