Hello Dakkanauts. So here I made two lists, both aiming to be very competitive, but I'm not sure which one to go for. I'm also counting my money for these projects. Both are very shooty, I kinda like Cadians more, but they would take me more time to collect. So my budget is on Tau-side. Here's lists;

Any thoughts?

Tau should always have the Y'Varna (or is it the other one?) the one with the insane flamer. It's by far the best unit in the codex.

But overall, I like the Guard list better. Much better board control, and an insane amount of shooting, both anti-infantry and anti-big.

Thanks for reply, yeah I might be going with Astra. The tournament is in February, so I'll be able to collect everything till then.

If you want to take Tau, you can think about changin one Hammerhead and drones for Longstrike, for 20 pts. more he will make your hammerhead's hit on 2+ not 3+
