This list focus' exclusively on mortal wound potential. The list includes double supreme command and outrider detachments. Every model in the list has mortal wound output. The main smite bomb if you will comes in the form of a cloudstriking wave serpent filled with psykers: eldrad accompanied by 11 spiritseers. That's 12 full-powered smites right there, as well as executioner from eldrad witch is kind of like a double smite, as well as the double serpent shield discharge (stratagem) for two more "smites," bringing this single wave serpent and it's contents to 16 "smites." With all the spiritseers on 4 wounds a piece you can see where 6+ FnP could start to pay dividends. The list then brings two hemlocks to provide anti-armor, and again, two more smites; as well as 30 striking scorpions and 30 swooping hawks. All 60 of these models have what is basically mortal wound on a 6 each turn, averaging you 10 mortal wounds on the first turn assuming nothing has died yet. The list is kind of overwhelmingly anti-infantry in conventional damage output (which is no terrible thing in the current meta), but between the two hemlocks and all the "smites," tanks/monstrous shouldn't be an issue. On turn 1, assuming you haven't lost anything yet, the list has an average mortal wound dealt range of around 40-50. The list also still maintains a pretty good model count, lots of mobility if you consider hawk deep strike and scorpion infiltration, and more than enough anti-horde protection. I think overall it's a fairly unorthodox list that could catch a lot of things by surprise. PS, if you're wondering "why did he put twin starcannons on that wave serpent?" It makes the list 2k on the nose lol.

A Supreme Command Detachment lets you have 3-5 HQs. Each specialist detachment lets you have 1-2. So maxed out that's 9 HQs total....how are you getting 12? Am I missing something?

Does look like fun. Remember that Smite goes onto the closest enemy, so some modest screening will negate your bomb.
I have a lot of Brimstones that love to take these for the team, or even just flat out deny.

Supreme command allows for one elite each, outrider allows for two, so it just needs to be structured as a double supreme command plus outrider to work, no issues there. Yes, screening is obvious, however, it's all packaged in a wave serpent that can choose when and where to deep strike, and with that many mortal wounds, I don't think it cares that much if it has to blast through a screen first. Again these are 4 wound characters with a 4++ and 6+ FnP that can be screened, they can weather a depleted counter punch without much effort.

Don't forget that if you Cloudstrike your Wave Serpent, you cannot disembark those inside on the same turn. That means you really don't want to Cloudstike as too much of your damage output is not applicable on your turn 1.

Also, the Stratagem to unleash the Serpent Shield cannot be used on same turn that you make the the initial use of the Serpent shield, so you actually have 1 less Smite than described.

Finally, the first turn all your Smites will be against enemies fodder. So your going to really need to clear them out on turn 1 to start getting a decent return on all the Smites turn 2.

Yes, all of these points are valid but have been thought through. The cloudstrike is a defensive measure, not an offensive one, it's meant to allow me to protect that part of the army on turn 1, and it forces the opponent to be completely paralyzed in regard to movement - if there is something "fodder" is protecting, they're going to have to stay pretty immobile, or they're going to open spaces for the serpent to fit into. The only time that isn't an issue is with a castle'd up gunline, but outside of a completely castled gunline, or brimstone spam, there aren't that many scenarios that represent a major "problem" to what you're trying to do. Again on this issue of fodder, as the first commenter made a similar warning, look at the rest of the list, it's basically built for dealing with fodder, 30 hawks and 30 scorpions? Fodder is basically all they do lol, if you can't get through cheap screening with that, than yeah, you have problems. The theory behind this list is quite sound, as I mentioned above, a bit unorthodox for current eldar paradigms, and takes a proper effort to coordinate correctly, but against a large swath of army types, can be really devastating. And remember, the list also has a ton of flexibility vis-a-vis deployment, scorpions can infiltrated, or not, hawks can be deep strike, or not, psykers can start in the wave serpent, or not, the wave serpent can cloud strike, or not. So much of the theory can be altered depending on the opponent, the table, and the deployment/scenario.

How heavily would warlocks need to be converted to serve as a spirit seer? The staff, the faceless visage... what else? I have two of the spirtseer model but feel that it's pose is rather uniform if utilized en masse. Just asking because I love the unit, not that I'd field 10...

I'm using warlocks as proxy, no way I'm buying that many, as you say, one pose models lol

I've used a much less intensive Smite spam with Eldar and it hits pretty hard. I prefer taking 3 Hemlocks as they can get some key positioning for Smite. Doom and Guide with a full squad of Hawks actually works fairly well against chaff. I don't have experience with Scorpions this edition, Simi am a bit unsure with them.

Smite and Executioner from a single Farseer actually does a pretty good job, but I feel I need a second Farseer for a support role. Eldred may be able to pull double duty.

Interesting list. Let us know how it fares.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Thanks a lot, will do. I agree two Farseers is always better than 1! And three hemlocks is never a bad thing lol. I think the bones of the list can be tweaked to accommodate alterations like that. The hawks and scorpions are included in such volume for three reasons, they both can essentially deep strike, they both deal mortal wounds above and beyond their normal stat lines, and they both have a very high volume of anti-infantry attacks/shots - opening up the seers and hemlocks to go right for the throat against whatever "meat" the opponent is sporting.
