So I've got this really annoying problem where now that the Primaris have been released with really good proportions, all the old models that are unique to the Blood Angels look silly in comparison.
My main issue is that I love the fluff behind them and would love to collect an army that involved Death Company, Sanguinary Guard, Dreadnaughts, all that cool stuff that signature to the Blood Angels, but every time I look at them next to the Primaris, it makes me weep openly. And that's not to say the Primaris particularly do it for me, just their design is so much nicer to look at, less goofy with more heroic, satisfying proportions and poses. In a perfect world, I'd really want Death Company to that same quality but in awesome rage filled poses and updated Dreadnaughts that didn't look like funny, stumpy goofy tin cans and squads as highly decorated with Blood Angel iconography as the tactical marines but didn't have short, thin legs with giant feet and no necks but long arms. But all we have are the generic Primaris Marines with the glorious new proportions.

I'd make my own tacticals and such using Sigmar Stormcast, like a few others have done, but that sort of feels a little odd. Most models that size have 2+ wounds, so having dudes the size of Primaris without the 2 wounds seems wrong for some reason (I'm a weirdo). I'm going to do it for Sanguinary Guard though, as I've seen them converted using Stormcast and they look really good.

This seems a little weird, but I wanted to ask you guys on how to feel good about the old figures or if there's ways to convert them to look cool next to Primaris? I'm sure a lot of people aren't as picky as me or just still enjoy the old figures, and no one would be wrong. The quality is definitely there, I just much prefer the style of the Primaris personally. But they just don't seem Blood Angel-y enough. I'd love to implement all the unique units, I just don't know how to make them look cool next to Primaris models.

I've been going through this annoying cycle the last few days of thinking about making a pure Primaris list, because they look so good, then realising the other units are way more fun but then looking at their models and slowly taking them out of my lists again until it's nothing but Primaris.

You could always true scale the older models. Plenty of tutorials about how to do it.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

The only real main difference is the legs, something which wouldn't be a terrible swap...but not cheap. You'd be using double the models. This is the issue GW is going to run into a ton over the next few years. Not even a matter of aesthetic preference, but people waiting on the next Primaris releases, etc.
