Hi i was wondering if i should convert my 3rd lot of warriors that i got off ebay into hive guard or tyrant guard or just leave them be, Also if anyone has advice on how to go about such conversions with limited bits i would love to know.

It'd be possible but lots of effort, time and materials.
Personally I'd sell the warriors on ebay or similar and put the money towards some hive guard.

True but I do love converting models and wanted to make some unique units with them but sadly I dont have any carnifex bits to use for a carapace so I was wondering if there's a alternative

Unless you run swarmlord often i’d definitely go hive guard. They are infinitely more useful, and are a bit simpler to model. No idea how you could do that - maybe search for similar conversions?

Edit: here’s one; uses bits of the carnifex crushing claws but you can probably find some of those quite easily online. Have a bit of a search around

hmmm my current list includes hive tyrant and swarmlord as i have only recently started my army, also i was wondering if tyrant guard rules work with the swarmlord aswell

They most certainly do; he has then [Hive Tyrant] keyword that means that the tyrant guard can use the rule

Ok thanks for the info i might turn them into tyrant guard if i can convert some rending claws for them

I converted some Warriors into Hive Guard recently, though I did get eBay some bits for them.



Used the hive Guard secondary arms, trygon head carapace, and venom cannons. Cost about 6 bucks in extra bits.

Nice conversions sadly I'm on a budget and I might just turn mine into Biovores at this rate so if anyone knows a way to use venom cannons for this please tell me

My advice: If you have a cool Idea for a Conversion go for it. I love me some good conversions.

But if you only want to convert stuff to be cheap do not do it. You'll just end up with some ruined models. I've seen a lot of "I want some Ork Bosses but only have Terminator models can I just convert those?" - guys and it never ended well.

I just took a look at your other... conversions... dont do it. Just dont. I dont mean to be mean but you really should practice with some easy green stuff work rather than trying to build practically whole models around it. I mean... your chaos spawn looks like you took chunks of green stuff and a few bits and threw them repeatedly at a Terminator until it stuck. Sorry.

Leave the Warriors alone, sell them and buy something you actually want.

Ok thanks for the advice i appreciate criticism as it gives a good idea as to what to do and what not to do when i convert sadly i have already started on the conversions so i am just gonna see how they turn out.
