I apologise in advance if someone already created a similar thread...
I'm planning to try an autarch in my list...the designers commentary left me with a bunch of doubts.
considering the autarchs in the codex are trash and I crafted my own warp jump generator autarch just few weeks before the codex (my best conversion ever indeed)
would be this 2 autarch configurations accepted? even tournament speaking.

technically, following only the scheme in the commentary, they would be both perfectly legal, of course with a nice corresponding model...but the last sentence of the commentary left me doubtful.
Anyone had a related experience in a local or official tournament?

Yes neither of those would be a problem as far as I know. One thing to note is that you are forced to use the index entry for the WSG Autarch, so you would have to use the old style Path of Command rule with no getting CP back on a 6.

I haven't seen any particular ruling from a tournament regarding this kind of thing. Regardless, you would need to check the specific event you are going to, as who knows what each group of organisers happen to rule.
