Hello all,

I've been a member of the site for quite a while now and I've finally managed to summon the courage to introduce myself.

I'm not a player, I only paint miniatures really but I enjoy the literature too.

I started in the hobby almost 25 years ago, and as with most people I've dipped in and out over the years due to real life. I've settled down now with a girlfriend, house and pet etc, which for me means I have a hobby room and chance to get on with my painting.

I'm not a fantastic painter, and I have no illusions of winning competitions. I paint purely for me, but obviously I want to do as well as I can. Which is why I started using this site, there are lots of avid painters on here of every standard who are all pretty supportive with pointer and tips which have already helped my painting greatly.

Anyway, I finally managed to finish a miniature and I wanted to show it on here so I thought it only fair that I say hello and thank you to all those painter on here who have inadvertently helped me.

Thanks

Hi there, Welcome to Dakka.

Get the Gallery filled with your pics, and bask in the glory the voting system brings. Don't forget to tag them with 'I Don't Care' and 'Table Ready' and 'WIP', or some such

Throw your years of gaming experience into the threads. Someone will be along to tell you're doing it all wrong. But, if you got something from the threads you have read, someone else will get tips from yours too.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
