Hello there.

Looking to play with some Drukhari and most of all want to see if the wychcult are any good.

As i see it i think Ravagers are pretty much auto include. I wanted to include some venoms too, but as of now i don't have any. If i can get this list to evolve i might buy some.

But the big question... Is this viable in a competitive enviroment at all. I know Drukhari are hard mode but still.

Unfortunately, wyches are impossible to make competitive.

That said I think the list is solid in non-competitive/casual environment.

I would cut Lelith, just not worth her points.

A quick and easy way to kick the list up a notch would be to cut the bikes and add razorwing jetfighters.

I would keep the raiders for the wyches, venoms work much better as mobile gun platforms for kabbies.

Other than that list looks fine if you want to go the wych cult route.

I agree with Manfried, cut Lelith: 3 HQs are too many.

Add some hellions instead.

I'd also try to equip a ravager with disintegrator cannons, you've got plenty of lances and blasters anyway.

your advice:

-So you think kabalites will do the trick instead? I could buy some for the more competive games

I would cut Lelith, just not worth her points.

- Happy so hear that. The model is finecast and already dread building one

A quick and easy way to kick the list up a notch would be to cut the bikes and add razorwing jetfighters.

Skipping the outrider detachment makes one less CP. But atm not that important.

Add some hellions instead.

YAY... I bought 3 boxes for Gangs of Commoragh... I could be om some use

I will look at the list again

So, realistically, the codex will be out by the time you finish or get anywhere near finishing this list, yeah? For me at this point, two months would be a pleasant surprise, I would expect to see a codex within three. Tau, Necrons, Orks, us are the last four big factions waiting.

Even with the index, I've had pretty solid success running full wych cult, what I would say to you is to look forward. Build your army in a way that makes sense, but maybe you take some slightly less powerful options that you wouldn't ordinarily take with the anticipation that (for instance) Reavers are going to get the same 30pt-17pt buff that the almost identical windriders and skydancers got. Just keep that in mind when you're reading my advice here.

1) Needs more variety. You want to make use of Combat Drugs as efficiently as you can, which means you want a smattering of units. LD+2 sucks...unless you have a Beastmaster. T+1 mostly sucks...unless you have a unit of Reavers. Bare minimum I would get those two in the list somewhere, because you can make use of all the other four on wyches succubi etc, and that gets you to two tables of drugs. I'd recommend Clawed Fiends for beasts - they provide a nice beatstick and you can get a box of Crypt Horrors or some other AOS beastie to proxy them as and bob's your uncle. I'd run a unit of five, with the master at LD9 morale won't be a concern.

2) Don't spam detachments. Minimize your HQs. Succubi are the second best Dark Eldar HQ....but thaaaat's not saying much. You need 2 max in a full wych cult list to provide that nice hit buff - 100% run one with the new pistol, it does more damage than a blast pistol and it's free, and I'd run the other maybe with the agonizer loadout out of the box (again looking forward towards possibly being limited to that loadout) and with the new warlord trait. Dark Eldar don't need CPs for much, we already reroll charges turn two and beyond and we have a lot of "2+ rerolling 1s" hit rolls. So keep it in one Battalion, that should really not be too hard.

3) Flyers, not Ravagers. Not because they're significantly better, they're about the same (maybe a sliiight edge to the flyers) but critically flyers get the Wych Cult keyword. Same role, but generally more utility because they're harder to kill and a body on the map rather than something that just hangs back to shoot. Voidravens are hands down better at present but if you're wanting to think forward, maybe one of each.

4) Keep everything you purchase until the codex drops to either the base Drukhari keyword (i.e. the mercenary units) or the wych cult keyword. It'd be awesome if GW gave us a unique system to account for our keywords being super specialized. But they might not, and you don't want to end up with stuff you can't use or have to stuff in its own detachment to use. Remember, each mandatory HQ slot should be pried from your cold dead hands, stuff your detachments as full as you can to avoid having to bring more.

5) I somewhat disagree with the poster above saying wyches are irredeemably bad. I've found them to be slightly mediocre, but decent if you use them right. They should be fielded in squads of five with one weapon (Hydra Gaunts preferred, but look forward, and build the other five squad in each box with a different weapon. They're like the same points value anyway, and you never know one might get crazy buffed). What you want to do is pair a wych squad with a squad that's going to do the killing while they hold the enemy unit down. A raider with 5 wyches and 5 Incubi is a good little unit. 5 Wyches and 1 Succubus in a Raider running alongside 3 Reavers is another good little combat unit. Ditto for your Clawed Fiends. I'd buy maybe two wych boxes and run 15 of them for now, pair them with a succubus each in a Raider and then the third squad with an Incubi squad in a Raider.

I don't have the points values in front of me but if I were redesigning this list this is wht I"d shoot for.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"
