I've been painting my Space Sharks up and trying to decide which chapter best fits for both gaming and 'feel'. I know GW has said White Scars, but I'm not 100% sold that's the right one. My thoughts on particular options:

Black Templars: Assaulty chapter tactic, Crusader Squads Kind of fit the fluff (Close combat wise, not necessarily with scouts), and the whole Crusading concept seems to fit the Sharks hunting in the void.

White Scars: GW suggests it, Lightning Strikes, very aggressive.

Blood Angels: The angels fluff doesn't really fit, definitely wouldn't be using the specialty blood angels units, but it's an entire codex built around assault things, so I can't help but wonder if maybe that's the best option. Plus they do rage really really good.

Or is there another option I haven't thought of?

Night Lord XIII Company: 6,600 Points, 12W-4L
Skaven Cheese-stealer Renegade Cult: 2,000 points, 0-0
Warboss Spine Squisha's Ork Warband: 3,000 Points, 1W-3L
Carcharadons Astra: 2000 Points, 11-2
Drukhari: 1250 Points, 2-0

The White Scars is a pretty terrible chapter trait...as Space Marines rarely benefit from the bonus to advance. The fall out of combat and back in sounds good, but generic Space Marines barely have anything which would be worthwhile in assault...so it's a bit of a head scratcher.

They're technically Raven Guard successors. Since it isn't written in stone though, either that or Black Templars works.

I voted for Templars, better fits the theme and you'd get much more usage out of it compared to White Scars

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.

To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

Carcharadons are a successor of the Raven Guard. Would likely go that route.

Yup, RG successor, RG trait.
Technically speaking, you don't even get to choose. (well, if you just paint them its fine I guess, but if you use any characthers, you gotta stick to the trait rules.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.
