Bike Squad [9 PL, 164pts]

Bikes and Khan will run up and punch stuff, supported by the Culexus.
Captain will probably be turned into a Chapter Master to reroll misses.
Cpt and Lt will castle up with the Hunters and Ven Dreads. If anything gets too close, their job is to punch it. Vindicare will stay close, if possible.

I will probably make the Spearhead into Ultramarines, now that I consider it, putting both Dreads in there (so they can fall back and shoot, if necessary), and putting both Assassins in the Outrider Attachment. That would help with the dismal 5 CP, as well, in hopes of getting some back.
Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Hey, that list looks familiar! Only 2 suggestions I can think of off the top of my head is if you're going to go with Regular Bikers, I'd take some flamers instead of plasma. Those units are going to be tying up charging enemies, or swooping in to hit a unit that one of your other units just fell back from. You've got plenty of long range hvy firepower and dealing with charging is going to be your main concern past that, cuz they will get close to you soon.

Second, I'm not a big fan of Vindicare. They are good for a shot a round where you want it, and that can be HUGE sometimes, but realistically they only do D3 once a round, and for 90 points that just doesn't seem worth it. I'd go with an Eversor. Assuming they don't get blasted they can charge when they drop in and almost always make it, and they do a number when they close. Won't last long past that but they will do more than a Vindicare. Of course if Mortrarian survives 2 more round with 3 or less wounds you'll probably hate me, but thems the breaks

Good list.

P.S.- Oh, and get some Stormbolters on those Hunters, guarantee you won't regret it.

"The Ultramarines are here to save us!"

"Those are the Sons of Orar."

"O R they!"

BTW, I did make that switch. Dreads and Assassins switched around, and changed the spearhead to Ultramarines.
I've had instances in the past where Ravenguard Dreads kept getting tied up and silenced. Learned my lesson.
I'm just a purist at heart, so I prefer my armies to all be the same legion, etc.

The Vindicare is a test. I haven't had the opportunity to play one yet. I like the idea that he can be support fire, though. I can count on him to put in a shot to finish a wounded vehicle or character off at range, if needed.

I considered the flamers. It all comes down to the fact that I'm a Khorne Berserker at heart, I like things that punch REALLY hard. Thus, the plasma. LOL

Stormbolters would be nice, but I'd have to make some difficult sacrifices to get them, as I'm RIGHT at 2000 here.

I appreciate the input.
