Power-Hungry Cultist of Tzeentch

Hey, I've played 40k for years but I've recently taken an interest in AOS and wanted to start a Tzeentch Arcanites army. Here's a basic list I devised - let me know what you think!

Lord of Change 300
Fatemaster 140
Tzaangor Shaman 160
Tzaangor Shaman 160

30 Tzaangors 450
10 Pink Horrors 120
10 Pink Horrors 120
3 Tzaangor Skyfires 200
3 Tzaangor Enlightened 160

90 Tzaangor Coven
100 Arcanite Cabal

The idea is to have a big tzaangor combat block that is supported with tons of magic from the cabal, lord of change, and all the wizards running around. The fatemaster is there to tarpit some hero if need be (and for points).

Looks solid to me.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

If you can, get a gaunt summoner with familers and a bale wind vortex.

Since you have a lord of change as your warlord you get +1 to his cast and another +1 from the minions, then can summon the vortex on a 5, giving you ANOTHER +1. You then get a 36 inch range and can cast his spell that just deletes horde units off the table. It's like a 8+ to cast if it goes off, roll a dice for each model in the unit, on a 4+ takes a mortal wound. Opponant has a 60 man rat blob? Enjoy taking out 30 then them having to role leadership at -30

To many unpainted models to count.

The only way I could add a Gaunt Summoner would be to take away 10 Tzaangors and change the Pink Horrors into Kairic Acolytes.

Personally I would drop the Magister he is a really crappy caster.

I don't see a Magister in that list.

If I had 20 points I'd just make him a Shaman. He fan be used to satisfy the Arcanite Cabal (could replace with Magister, although I like the disk for speed), but I've heard that with the Fatemaster's save he's good at tying up heros and monsters. I don't rrally know though considering I don't have that much experience with the game.

Like i said, i just like to try and get a gaunt summoner in the list because his spell is one of, if not the most, powerful one in the game.

If you give the Fatemaster the Paradox Shield artifact and Mystic Shield, he technically has a -1+ (negative one plus) save against non-flying models, though you actually have to reroll successful saves. It's kind of gimmicky, but fun to watch you opponent try to figure out why you're rerolling a "6".

Here's a secondary list that includes a Gaunt Summoner (and changes things up a bit).

Kairos Fateweaver 340
Tzaangor Shaman 160
Gaunt Summoner 120

30 Tzaangors 450
10 Kairic Acolytes 100
10 Kairic Acolytes 100
3 Tzaangor Skyfires 200
3 Tzaangor Enlightened 160
3 Tzaangor Enlightened 160

90 Tzaangor Coven
110 Witchfyre Coven

This would be more of a list I would use against hoards.

I could also change Kairos to a Lord of Change and drop it down to 20 Tzaangors to include a second Gaunt Summoner.

I mean I would, considering what does kiros do that a normal lord of change does not already do?

He allows you to choose the outcome of one die roll per game, but since that can no longer be used on the turn initiative roll, it's not nearly as powerful as it used to be. It's now only slightly stronger than using a Destiny Die IMO. Given the price, I'd rather use a LoC than Kairos in most cases. Karios still looks cool, though, so I plan to get two LoC kits and build one of each at some point.

Or you could just build kiros and run him as a LoC kiros is also stuck with his staff. So you are kinda boned there. Take a LoC and give him the rod so he has ranged, I'd you cane take a bale wind vortex on your gaunt summoner and enjoy having a +3 to casting, or a +4 if you are near an arcane building and a 36 inch range.

Eh, that's probably what I'll do, but I eventually want to have a regular and named version of each Greater Daemon, assuming I can find a buyer for these kidneys I just happened to "find lying around" (I'm gonna miss my brother).
