Hi All,

Hope this is in the pipelines but doubt it for now. if there is anyone out there who can help and provide some comments itd be greatly appreciated.

so without further ado here's my attempt below.

Beornings
In the Vales of Anduin between Mirkwood and the Great River the Beornings resided. Led by Beorn the skin changer and his descendants they were charged with the defence of the ford fo carrock and the High Pass. no easy feat with orc and warg and other nefarious evils seeking passage across the great river.

Although not born and bred warriors and the fact they chose rather to bake and protect the animals of middle earth do not mistake this sensitive side for weakness. The men of Beorning will use their almighty strength to swing their axes and draw back their bow strings to defend the lands and when called upon assist man elf and at a push dwarf.

The men of beornings share kinship with Rohan and through trade with both Rohan and their wood elf neighbours have amassed armour and weapons enough to protect themselves and thus the pass.

They favour the sturdy wood of their felling axes and the grip of a yew bow in their hands over any other weapon.

Starting Company
4 Warrior of the Beornings w 2handed axe (36 points)
2 warrior of the Beornings w elf bow (18 points)

Reinforcement
1 Nothing
2 Wild animal (use hunting dog profile)
3 WoB with 2 handed axe
4 WoB with bow
5 WoB choice of weapon
6 Descendent of beorn (max 1 in a company)

Hero Bonus
Veteran Protector of the High Pass
Although not great warriors their constant need to protect has sharpened their senses and made them hardened to the task.
*the hero will automatically pass the first courage test it must take for its force being broken.
*the hero does not suffer the -1 penalty to 2 handed weapons and also does not suffer the -1 to shoot after moving.

I dig the idea. I'll be able to give more feedback once I have my book in hand, but at first glance that hero bonus seems rather...strong. Ignoring the -1 for two-handed or the moving and shooting seems way more 'elite warrior' to me and a lot less 'supernatural farmer pressed into service as a pass guardian'.

Just my two cents.

One of them filthy casuals...
