Travelers is one of the best shows out there.

It has my favorite time travel mechanics and goes to some pretty amazing places.Season 2 was even better then 1 in my opinion. Especially the lake episode. Anyone else watching it?

Hadn't heard of it until I read your post. Watched trailers for both seasons and it does look interesting.

For those who don't know (like me a few minutes ago), the series is on Netflix currently.

The trailers do not do the show any justice. Just FYI. Enjoy your new netflix show!

We'll find out soon enough eh.

The OP is spot-on, it's a brilliant show. It appeals for me both because the characters and the storylines they engage in are interesting, and also because it does something very few sci-fi shows bother to do - it follows its own rules, and when it comes up against a limitation those rules impose they make that part of the story rather than just ignoring it.

If this doesn't get renewed for a third season when that godawful plodding gakfest "Timeless" got a second, I'll be ragin'.

Good to hear that the quality makes it through to the 2nd episode!

I was big into the show until halfway through the first seasons twist, and then... I just kinda stopped watching.

Same here. Like a lot of shows with time travel as a major premise, the plot at the halfway point just started falling apart into a long series of me asking "why didn't you just use time travel to fix that" and and reasons given in the show for why time travel wasn't used to solve every problem that came up were completely unconvincing.

Season 1 ends with some revelations about the future that explains a lot of why people are doing different things then you would think they would be doing.

I like the show a lot. I didn't like the forced politics in one of the episodes of the second season. Some white guy was doing a speech about how it can be difficult for you to respect a culture that doesn't respect your culture. With a few sentences like that they painted him as a racist donkey-cave and his life didn't matter. If you are going to paint him as a hateful person you do a little more than what they did. Anyways great show otherwise. I really wish they would do a few episodes that take place in the future. I want to see what the domes look like and how the tech looks to send someone back in time.

The writers have said they will not show the future. The travelers are stuck in the past so the audiance should be stuck with them.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Relevant news - the good time travel show(this one) has been renewed for Season 3! Yay. Interestingly, it's now a Netflix-only production, Showtime have apparently stepped back but the show's been doing so well for Netflix that they've decided to solo-fund it.

Awesome. That might make for quicker release for season 3 since we won't have to wait for all the episodes to air on TV in Canada before netflix gets to release it.

The lake episode was just incredible! The end of the season was a downer, though - hoping season 3 isn't as melodramatic as it seemed to portend

I am interested in how its going to really shake things up. The status quo is irrevocably shifted. Really interested to see where it goes next.
