When purchasing upgrades for Seraphim Pistols (two seraphim may exchange their bolt pistols for hand flamers or inferno pistols), I must pay for each upgrade itself, correct?
So upgrading a single seraphim to hand flamers costs 6 points (2 pistols at 3 each) Or infernos 18 points (2 at 9 each)
Someone suggested that cost listed was for the upgrade not per pistol. I do not agree. Anyone?

And yes, I am a long suffering Sisters player...how did they completely overlook the melta is weak issue in chapter approved...

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

in 8th Edition there is NO upgrade options, but rather weapons cost.

If a model comes equipped with X weapon you pay the cost of the model and of the X weapon. If you have an option to replace the X weapon with Y weapon then you pay the cost of the model plus the Y weapon, and ignore the cost of X weapon.

So yes when buying gear for your seraphim you pay the cost of the model and then the cost of the 2 weapons (2 hand flamers or 2 infernos) unless the wargear entry says you are paying for a Pair of weapons.

On this case the Index entry only refer to a single weapon so your interpretation is correct about the cost you must pay.

Thanks Lord Perversor, clear and concise. Thought I had it right, but nice to have some agreement. Nice avatar by the way.

Seraphim are great, they normally get their points back 2 fold, for 4 Melta Pistols that can move 24" turn 1 and get to shoot w/e they want, or able to shoot 2x, 91pts is cheap.

Yes you have to pay for both weapons per sister, like Lord Perversor said, each weapon has a cost/

Some units will say "Pair of X" but if you look at the cost the cost will also say "Pair of X cost Y" always pay for what the name is, if it says it comes with 2 X's then you pay 2x.
