I'm currently visiting family in Lexington all the way from England. Hoping to move here sometime this year...

Just wondering what the 40k scene is like here and if anyone wants a game this week I'd love to play! (Would have to borrow an army though as mine is back across the pond!)

Its pretty good, there's a GW shop that's friendly and has league games. I'm a casual and play with friends at our houses but some of those guys play in the league at the store. Hope you enjoy your time in Kentucky.

Your two best bets for independent stores in Lexington.

The official GW store on Man O War is super friendly, and great for narrative gaming (even though they run Leagues). They also have more stock on hand.

The Battleforge independent store has more competitive tourneys every first Saturday of the month. They have a lot more table space, but have much less stock on hand. Though, they can order and have better discounts when buying over $100.

Thanks for the replies guys! Dropped into The Battleforge today
the guys down there were super friendly, I love the space they've got down there much bigger than any store back in England and a tonne of good scenery as well. Hoping to move over for a bit this year, great city just stupidly cold at the moment!

Hey guys I live in Georgetown ky. And ive got a small group that plays warhammer 40k at our houses. And we're new to the hobby We're looking to branch out to the local community somehow. Is there groups out there that invite each other over to play? Or does everyone pretty much try and play at the stores?
