This is kind of half a fluff query, and half a p&m query...

Does wraithbone degrade, for example, could something cause it to corrode, or crumble? I’ve got some MDF Eldar terrain that I’m going to make into desert ruins, and want them to look suitably ancient. But I don’t want to make them all rusty, or chipped, if wraithbone should stay pristine.

I'm sure something can make it degrade, but half of the fun with mystery Eldar ruins is how untouched it looks compared to the foliage and ground around it. I'd leave it pristine unless it's been affected by battle damage.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

If it gets tainted by Chaos then it looks dead and decayed.

Just think on Wraithbone as something alive like bone (hence the name) or chitin.

It's properties are largely attached to the vitality within itself if the Wraithbone structure have some access to some kind of psy energy it may remain unblemished and in a matter of fact regenerate any damage.

If the Psy energy is tainted (Daemonic origin as example) the Wraithbone may turn darker and look corrupted , while if there is no remaining energy it may degrade and get rusty.

Due it's psychic nature, you can make the Wraithbone ruins in the way you see fit and still make sense with the fluff.

It might not break or crumble unless some outside force makes it (or if it's cut off from the psychic energy that renews it maybe).

It's still get dusty or dirty though, so weather away
