It seems that the @aol address is the owner's personal email address that he created so the main Badger business email doesn't get swamped for this deal. Seems official enough considering the official Badger Facebook said so.

As for a detail brush, I personally like the Sotar 20/20. It's one of the smallest airbrushes I've held, still feels weighty, and works great. The only problem seems to be that it's not compatible with many of more common Badger airbrush parts, so you're going to have to special order replacements.

Mmmm still i find it funny that aol even exists.

might just get a renegade velocity. my old krome was retired to lacquer varnish duty anyway.

and my iwata is for base coating only.

welp sent in the email lets see how this plays out.

Was just coming to post this! I'm happy with my Grex but it's a great deal if you don't have an airbrush and were thinking of getting one

Can anyone else vouch for the Renegade Velocity?

Was thinking of getting one to work alongside my siphon-feed 155 Anthem, for more detailed work.

I should probably just save money - convince me I'm wrong!

Similar question, I have a Patriot 105, was thinking a Sotar 20/20 might complement well, but happy to listen to other opinions.

I have an Anthem 155 and love it.

The Sotar 2020-2F, Renegade Velocity and RK-1 Krome are all solid airbrushes as well. I've used them all and have no complaints. The Renegade would be more for tanks, the other two are very good at fine details.

I have a Sotar 20/20 and an Iwata HP-CS Eclipse. I've got some big terrain projects coming up that I could use a new airbrush for. Does Badger have something that'll be better for that than the Iwata I have? Budget-wise I could buy two airbrushes, is there something else that people really love?

Someone on Facebook shared this as a nice comparison of Badger airbrushes:

Hmmm, I am very satisfied with my Infinity CR plus, but will still suplement him with back ab from this offer. I was thinking to go with sotar 20 20, but judging with the list above 105x xtreme patriot is better in every category, yet cheaper than sotar...how so?

I have a bunch of Badger airbrushes and I've been very happy with all of them, especially the Sotar and the new 105 Xtreme.

You may want to look at a Krome as well.

Was going to get one, but I already have an Iwata Eclipse, and from reading around for a few hours it seems that the only ones that would be worth buying considering my Iwata’s abilities are the super fine ones like Sotar 20/20, and those are basically pro-level only since an amateur like myself would have no use for the ability to spray tiny tiny TINY lines. And I won’t reach that level for decades if ever. So I skipped it. Yay wallet!

I was thinking about this, but decided my khrome was more than enough for me now considering i don't use it that much.
Couldn't figure out what would benefit me the most inn a second airbrush.

Kinda too bad I missed this, but don't need a 3rd Badger airbrush, really (I have a Patroit 105, Krome, and Sotar 20/20). I might still send them a happy birthday email though, because I've met Ken a couple of times at cons and he's a super nice guy, and I've never had any problems dealing with Badger.

Yeah, I got a follow up email two days ago. I can't imagine them having to deal with this demand.

That said, I'm picking up another Renegade Krome and maybe a Sotar 20/20.

I went with the Patriot 105 for this promotion. Any comments on how well it operates?

This will be my first airbrush, but I had heard good things about it.

I'd only messed around with cheap Chinese brushes beforehand, and, to my shame, told several people "it was all you needed." But the Patriot is night and day, much less fussy and much easier to keep painting without having to constantly fiddle. I'm sure some of the higher end brushes can show off a lot more, but for tank painting, zenithal base coating etc it's brilliant, and with a little patience masking off you can still work on surprisingly small areas.

I'm just disappointed I wasn't able to add another model, because everywhere outside North America was $35 shipping, and with the risk of vat and handling charges being added too, any potential savings were potentially eliminated.

Thanks for that, Azreal.

I will most likely just be using it for priming as rattle cans no longer fit my color needs, particularly for tanks and such. I've been watching a few How To videos on "pre-shading" on rhinos and I'm looking forward to it.

What a backlog! I just got my email inviting me to purchase the airbrushes.

They work out to $65 each. Am buying 3 total, they can't combine shipping.
