I found this. I feel it merits sharing. This is the best animation for warhammer I have ever scene. Beats out all their own games DoW, Space Marine, the movie...

Yeah, the audio really is off putting. But the animation? Is superb. The scene of the woman with the baby running and the terminators firing? That sense of power and scale.
Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Anyways, I feel like this is the first time space marine combat has been well presented. The look and feel of the terminators, that world eater making his final charge, and that ultramarine defending his planet to the death was incredible.

^This.
Voice acting needs a lot of work, as do the sound affects (but it's fan made so what can you do).
But the actual animation has actually managed to capture just how strong, swift and durable Space Marines and Terminators are despite their bulky armour. The HH is a great setting too, lots of potential for a good story, just hope they don't ruin it with cliche lines like "They will answer for this...".

That is a pretty damn good animation for a fan project. Really awesome vid! The audio and dialogue could indeed do with some improvements though. Apart from the "What. is. this. heresy!" bit. That was epic.

Yep, the presentation was pretty good (I wouldn't say great, but very good). The audio was poor, but all fan films are normally bad. Even the teaser for the Lord Inquisitor lost me completely when the Inquisitor opened his mouth. Awful voice-acting, really atrocious.
I will agree this video is pretty Hollywood-esque in the lines, etc., but I'd watch it. Why not.

What class. Talks about the negative instead of the positive. I had bad sounding but it was my speakers. I put the head phones on and it sounded better. So maybe instead of blaming the artist, why not check your system? With the head phones is sounds good enough. Diffidently not atrocious.
I thought it was done really well. Awesome for fan art.

Oh snap, I keep forgetting that opinions are verboten here, mein apologies herr oberst!!!
I'm glad I didn't post my minor criticism in otherwise excellent animation about the civilian lady with a baby inexplicably wearing a soot covered before the action starts hepa mask (with no rubber band to keep it on) otherwise I'd be labelled a Debbie Downer too!

Apologies is plural, so it's meine apologies. And Herr Oberst please. Opinions may be allowed, but bad German certainly not!
Well, I like the trailer. Sure, it's not perfect but enjoyable.

I don't see anything goofy about it though, I'm not trying to pick an argument, but what exactly comes off as "goofy?"
Also, everyone do note that the ENTIRE video, save the voice acting was done by 1 person, over a 12 month period, on his off time while working a full time job. Undoubtedly, it's not perfect and never will be.

And this is bad how?
Also, this looks pretty fething boss to me - closest thing I've seen to non-stupid looking marine movement. Of course the whole thing could use the polish that a production studio could offer but hey, for one dude this is pretty amazing work - gak, it's already better looking than Ultramarines ever was.

That was awesome. Especially when the lady with the baby was running towards the "loyalist" marines as the "traitors" behind were laying everyone out. The Loyalist Terms didn't give 2 quacks about 'protecting' her, didn't move to protect her or the baby, they had a job and it was to kill some traitorous scum.
I'd watch the whole thing if it ever becomes a full movie/short film and not just a trailer.
It struck me as weirdly appropriate that both the loyalist and heretic marines didn't really give a fig about the lady running with her baby. You don't really think about civilians all that much in the 40K universe.
I don't see anything goofy about it though, I'm not trying to pick an argument, but what exactly comes off as "goofy?"
The entire pretentiousness of trying to scrub 40K of its quintessential comical, ironical and comedically exaggerated soul as a parody of pretentious 80s sci-fi and attempting to play the parody straightfaced as the thing it mocked and ridiculed in the first place.
