So, I'm starting to work on a Raven Guard army, and I'm trying to keep everything as fitting to the fluff as I can, at least as far as the painting goes, here's where I'm stuck at: Do RG follow the astartes as far as painting their helmets to designate rank? the 8th edition codex states

""The Codex Astartes dictates that Sergeants wear a red helm, Veterans white, and Veteran Sergeants and Lieutenants a combination of these colours.""

However, there are a few chapters that don't do that, I can't seem to find anything on the Raven Guard specifically one way or the other.

I've got all of the other stuff down as far as squad markings, battlefield roles, company, etc. So this should hopefully be the last thing I need to figure out.

To my knowledge, the fluff regarding RG colors has been somewhat inconsistent. The scheme I follow (which I believe has at least some fluff backing) is sergeants/command characters get white helmets, and veterans get white shoulder pads and arms. So, veteran sergeants and 1st company characters get white helmets and pads/arms, veterans get white pads/arms, all other sergeants and characters get white helmets, and everyone else is in black.
