So I just got the new Daemon Codex and I'm very happy with what they did to make Khorne a threat again.
The Fleshhounds dropping 5pts each is amazing since I got 30 painted of these and now they will be freaking awesome,
TBH I was gonna be very happy with a 3pts decrease but I'll take 5pts
The Bloodthirsters got what they need which is to say something to make them survive the firepower that will be aimed at them (+1 to Invul save, +2 with Stratagem plus a 6+++ will do the trick), adding more attacks generated on "6"s to hit, good potential re-roll failed hit and wound rolls, denying a spell and re-roll charge roll (all this completely freely) is just bonus, I was hopping for them to be able to move faster but I'm still very happy.
Bloodletters get an easy way to deepstrike via Stratagem (with re-roll charge roll and +1 to charge roll might I add) instead of the regular crappy summoning is freaking awesome too and the Herald of Khornes getting +1 to hit and dealing more damage +loci & Relics freely is also very nice (wasnt able to fit them in this list but its still awesome).
Heres is this list
Supreme Command Detachment
340pts - Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirtser - Warlord (Oblivious to Pain) - Armor of Scorn (Relic)
180pts - Daemon Prince - Khorne - Argath, The King of Blades (Relic)
180pts - Daemon Prince - Khorne - Skullreaver (Relic)
Outrider Detachment
70pts - Karanak
120pts - 8x Fleshhound
105pts - 7x Fleshhound
105pts - 7x Fleshhound
Vanguard Detachment
86pts - Chaos Lord - Khorne - Powerfist
147pts - Helbrute - Khorne - Twin Lascannon - Missile Launcher
147pts - Helbrute - Khorne - Twin Lascannon - Missile Launcher
147pts - Helbrute - Khorne - Twin Lascannon - Missile Launcher
185pts - Heldrake - Khorne - Baleflamer
185pts - Heldrake - Khorne - Baleflamer
1997pts Total - 13 Deployment - 3CP (after the 3 being used for 3 Relics)
So the 2 Heldrake are there to distract the opponent from shooting too much at the Bloodthirster, the 2 Daemon Princes are ridiculous damage dealers for their points and will generally hide behind the Bloodthirsters, Heldrakes and Fleshhounds.
Fleshhounds are there to deal with infantry.
All the while the Heldrakes are pumping shots to pop transport and soften up the opponent with the help of a Chaos Lord to make them shoot better and who can help fend off enemy attackers if he decides he wants to try to tie up my shooty base.
What do you think Dakka?
