Alright, I've been in the middle of building my 30k Mechanicum Force, and after getting my warlord, a unit of Thallax, a unit of Vorax, and an Ordinatus, I decided to simply put my proposed army up to see if it is a valid army. Please leave feed back on what I should fix if anything, or what I could do better. I'll also at the end put a set of reasons why I decided to do what I did.

• HQ1: Archmagos Draykavac 240/265
o Upgrades: Abeyant (+25)
• Troop 1: Thallax Cohort 135/310
o Upgrades: +3 Thallax (+120), 6x heavy chainblade (+30), Ferrox (+25)
• Troop 2: Thallax Cohort 135/310
o Upgrades: +3 Thallax (+120), 6x heavy chainblade (+30), Ferrox (+25)
• Troop 3: Adsecularis Covenant 35/135
o Upgrades: +5 Tech-thralls (+30), Heavy chainblades (+20), ROPT (+15), Carapace Armor (+20), Revenant Alchemistry (+25), Frag Grenades (+5)
• Dedicated Transport: Triaros Armored Conveyor 135/150
o Upgrades: Extra Armor (+5), Smoke Launchers (+5), Blessed Autosimulacra (+5)
• Elite 1: Tech Priest Auxillia 65/90
o Upgrades: Magos (+20), Cyber familiar (+5), Lacyraemarta
• Fast Attack 1: Vorax Class Battle-Automata 65/250

For my HQ I wanted Draykavac as 1) he look cools and 2) his liquefactor seems like a nice way to burn through tanks and champions with better than average odds. He also causes Fear, which without TSKNF is a big deal for most Space Marine Legions.

Troops I wanted to make up for the short comings of the short range that Mechanicum infantry have for shooting weapons and use them for a Melee force. Thallax would get 4 S7, AP4 attacks on the charge when I include the Ferrox augmentation due to rage and I can reroll misses due to haterd. the Tech Thralls with the Tech-Priest are simply to act as meat shields that refuse to die (huh, kind of reminds me of a certain machine race in 40k, nah it's probably nothing).

Fast attack I wanted even more melee, so Ursarax can deal a ton of deadly blows, having 4 attack on the charge, and with 3 power fist thrown in I should be able to deal with Sgts with 2+ armor saves. Vorax I want to lay the hurt and have them escort Draykav up the board.

Heavy support I went with the Karacnos for the ability to weaken my enemy toughness while also ignoring cover and have better than average odds of hurting them. and Myrmidons because I wanted to wipe off 20-man Marine blobs with I-rad engines.

So does this seem reasonable? I also did this because then for a 3500~ point game I could add my Ordinatus without too much hassle.

I'm sensing a mobility theme here, so i'm confused by the lack of an Arlatax or two.

You may want to consider giving a three 'bot cohort of thallax a photon thruster to start off in the middle of your deployment zone to keep infiltrators away and blind dreadnoughts/robots - maybe with the icarian augment to fill your AA need
Thallax don't do so well in melee; keep them doing what they do best - Tau impressions. If you're set on the CC thing then consider giving the thallax melta bombs and go for CC with vehicles aided by the destructor augment

the Irradiation engine destructors are absolte death to any squad without an artificer armour dude out front, but range can be an issue.
I enjoy taking a single photon thruster with two volkite culverin - take out the artificer armour dude, volkite the remaining unit and force a blind test to finish.

I'm critical of the plan to put the thralls in a triaros when those myrmidons could use that ride so much better!

The Ordo Reductor - the guy's who make wonderful things like the Landraider Achillies, but can't use them in battle..
