There is what I can only assume to be a typo with the obliterators entry in the CSM codex: the Daemon keyword is actually under the Faction Keyword list. They are the only Daemon unit in the CSM codex where this is the case, and they did not have this "problem" in the index. So until this gets errata'd, RAW you can bring obliterators in a Chaos Daemons detachment.

This is correct.

Not seeing the rules question here. It's not a typo by definition because there has been no errata to change it.
