I'm looking at finalizing a space marine list and was trying to decide between an Iron Hands or Dark Angels Air Wing Detachment for ground support. I could do three StormTalons w/LasTalons or three Nephilim Jetfighters w/Lascannons. It's a 14 point difference but the differences are slight enough to make me wonder. It's a good sized monetary investment so I want to be certain.

Which is the better choice? I want to deploy them as tank hunters and as mobile support for my ground forces.

Why not 2 Xiphon Interceptors instead? Its 100pts+ less (they are a bit pricey) but they do more damage to "fly" units, they are 4 Lascannons on each instead of 2 and has a H3 S6 3D weapon as well, gives +1 against Fly, moving and shooting heavy doesnt give it -1.

If you want lascannons that is. IMO the Nephilim isnt worth it as Lascannon flyer, i would do the Storm, the Storm Interceptor i would think is better than Talon also b.c it has +1 against "Fly". Storm Talons have +1 against non-fly units.
3rd you have the Dark Talon, thats S10 3 Shots

I would do Storm Interceptor, Xiphon Interceptor, or Dark Talon.

I personally would do Dark talon if doing DA's Xiphon if SM.

Dark talons are scary - those hurricane bolters just hoover up infantry, and I see their bomb and rift cannon as just an added bonus

Starting them all by a darkshroud can protect you with a -2 to hit turn 1 as well

The answer to all flyer questions is Fire Raptors (if you can use FW)
