Now I dont personally play AoS but I do use the empire kits a great deal for conversions for my Inquisitor army (as well as bretonians) as far as I can tell all of these infantry kits are still in classic packaging and come with square bases. Is the line being discontinued? should I buy as much as I could get my hands on now?

Necrons - 6000+
Eldar/DE/Harlequins- 6000+
Genestealer Cult - 2000
Currently enthralled by Blanchitsu and INQ28.

We don't know. The Empire, State Troops and the like especially, don't really gel with the aethetic AoS has got going, but we just don't know what GW plans to do with them.

Hammerhal has a similar look *Novel cover for the spear of shadows you see the same style. so while empire and state troops etc....will likely be renamed, a lot will remain the same.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

While there's been no indication they intend to change them, and indeed they've appropriated the Empire's aesthetic(turned up to 12 like everything else in AoS) for some of the art so I wouldn't expect it to change in the near future, do not wait around because if and when they do change the "default" human faction(or at least, how it looks) you cannot count on having any warning.

Nu-GW might be better at communication than they used to be, but they've burned a lot of folk in the past when things just started vanishing from their range without warning(FW still do this).

So yeah, don't feel the need to go mad and live on beans on toast for a month so you can splurge on everything you might want right this very moment, but don't keep putting off purchases on the assumption you'll always be able to buy them later, or you'll end up like some of us did when we came here one day and found GW had just ceased producing all their old Specialist Games models and the remaining stock just vanished in a flash a lot of it to ebay scalping scumbags.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Vigo. Spain.

They are like most Old World factions, in stasis, until they receive a new battletome like Bonnesplitterz or the Ogres with giant beasts with a name I can't remember, or they are rolled into a new faction like Sylvaneth, ironjawz or Daughters of Khaine.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

GW recently did a "here is how we are going to do AOS" graph which is basically the same as their current 40K codex graph. Considering how well the new 8th edition approach has gone; chances are GW will copy-cat that for Age of Sigmar.

However AOS will likely have to wait until mid-year before GW can focus on it in the same way that they've focused on 40K. Even then there's a huge amount of factions and stuff that needs addressing in Sigmar - heck just looking at the store page is a headache for many factions that are not battletombed (Elves are broken into about 15 or so different sub-groupings - some with only one or two models in them).

Right now 40K is the focus, but I suspect they'll focus on Sigmar in due time.
