Does one exsist?

My group wants to play the scenarios and after going through all the books it's been hard to get a sense of which missions we can actually pull off with our combined collections.

is there a list of all the scenarios from the black books with what armies/models would be needed in each of the battles?

Thanks dakka!

Why not.

(The vast majority of the missions don't have specific required forces, you're good to go for most of them as long as you've got a Primarch available and aren't going to insist on using them in every game.)

Zone Mortalis (content in Book 1, Book 3)
Distinct set of terrain and force org charts intended for games of 1,000pts a side; no Barrage weapons, heavily limited Deep Strike, most unit types treat the whole thing as Difficult/Dangerous Terrain, no Flyers, no Dedicated Transports, no MCs bigger than a 60mm base, no non-Walker vehicles more than 4" wide, and no units of more than 15 models. Three core missions in book 1, five more in book 3.

Book 1 Campaign (Istvaan III)
Six missions, rolled randomly with random deployment types and variant rules for four phases of the campaign for a theoretical 144 different combinations. Intended for the four Istvaan III Legions (Sons of Horus, Emperor's Children, World Eaters, Death Guard) and the Ordo Reductor, but no functional restriction if you want to repurpose them in a different context.

Book 1 Legendary Missions (intended for Istvaan III Legions)
Cometh the Red Angel: 2,000pts of Loyalists with at least one fortification and no pods/Flyers versus 3,000pts of Traitors with Angron and no fortifications, intended to be World Eaters v. World Eaters.
The Flight of Truth: 1,000pts a side with no Vehicles, Loyalists have three civilians to escort to an escape shuttle.
Counter Thrust: 1,750pts a side with no Fortifications, no specific restrictions.
Death of Gods and Angels: 2-3,000pts a side with a 25% edge to the Traitors, no other restrictions.

Book 2 Campaign (Istvaan IV)
Four missions, three phases for twelve combinations; intended for the relevant Legions and the Mechanicum, but could again be easily repurposed in almost any context.

Book 2 Legendary Missions
Vanguard Fury: 2,000pts of Traitors using one of the Istvaan III Legions and the Castellan Force Organization Chart versus 2,500pts of Loyalists using Salamanders, Iron Hands, or Raven Guard and the Orbital Assault Rite.
Cataclysm: 2,500pts+ per side, no special army composition rules.
Blood of the Primarch: Loyalist force with a Primarch versus a Traitor force with 50% more points than the non-Primarch portion of the Loyalist force; Istvaan IV Legions.

Tactical Strike Missions (Book 3)
Special small-scale missions intended to represent Traitor forces hunting down remnants of the Loyalists on Istvaan IV. Four deployment options and four objectives for a total of sixteen combinations.

Book 3 Legendary Missions
Deliverance: 3,000pt Loyalist force including Corax v. 3,000pt Traitor force including Angron, or similarly-sized forces with significant/dramatic leaders.

Book 4 Conquest system
Six Strategic Raid missions, six Cityfight missions, a whole bunch of terrain rules, and character advancement, all missions are adaptable and not restricted to a specific set of units.

Book 5 Calth campaign
Three phases designed to use the core Age of Darkness missions (108 total combinations of phase, mission, and deployment), all flexible.

Book 5 Legendary Missions
Shock of Betrayal: No specific list restrictions, though the Loyalists (Ultramarines if you're being fluffy) have some extra terrain they get to deploy.
Zetsun Verid Yard: Zone Mortalis action, Guilliman and 750pts of additional Ultramarines versus 1,000pts of Word Bearers and 500pts of either more Word Bearers or Taghmata.
Death of Truth: Loyalist force using the Leviathan org chart to field a superheavy with a 25% points edge over the Traitor force, which should use a Militia or Daemon element in addition to the Word Bearers. Mission rules encourage units with the Daemon rule for the Traitors.

Irregular/Shadow Wars (Book 6)
Modification of the Book 4 Conquest campaign system to have one or both sides use more irregular Shattered Legions/Blackshields/Dark Compliance forces. Intended to involve Istvaan IV Loyalist survivors against the Traitors' hunters, but can be adapted for most matchups. Also adds in the Vanguard mission (update of 4e-vintage asymmetric Kill Team). Shadow Wars has six missions and six deployment maps for a total of 36 combinations.

Book 6 Legendary Missions
Conclave of the Lost: 1,500-3,500pts a side, Loyalists should include elements of multiple Legions. Emphasis is on a meeting of Loyalist characters and a Traitor ambush trying to assassinate them.
Point of Desperation: 1,500-3,000pts a side, a Loyalist (historically Ultramarines), a Traitor (historically Night Lords), and a Blackshield force, either a three-way game or two players and a random mechanism to determine what the third force does.
Between Hammer and Anvil: 1,500-3,000pts for the Attackers, 2/3rds of that for the Defenders. Historically this should be Cassian Dracos' Loyalist force (Salamanders, Iron Warriors, Mechanicum) as the attackers and Autilon Skorr's Alpha Legion as the defenders.
Slayer of Wolds: 2-3,000pts a side, no particular restrictions but historically should be some mix of Iron Hands, Imperial Fists, and Solar Auxilia Loyalists as the attackers against some mix of World Eaters, Traitor Mechanicum, and Militia as the defenders.

Prospero Campaign (Book 7)
Three phases, four missions and four deployment types (48 combinations) for the main sequence and a special capstone mission for each phase. Intended for Space Wolves and the Talons fighting Thousand Sons and the Spireguard.

Book 7 Legendary Missions
Spaceport Control: Attacker can't take any fortifications, Defender gets 25% of the points total above and beyond their army for fortifications. No particular force restrictions.
Canis Vertex: Defenders get a free Titan (which Titan is based on the points size of the game but it's about 50% of the points total), the Titan gets some debuffs and the scenario is about the attacker trying to kill it.
Apex Predator: Equally sized missions including a Primarch on each size (Russ and Magnus, if you're going historical).

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Wow!

Thanks a TON Anomander!

This is great stuff!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
We currently have EC,WE, UM, SW, SA, and Mechanicum right now. With a growing DG force.

We are trying to figure out what forces we "need" to start building next.

The list is amazing. Thanks again!!
