Some of the Iron Warriors Boys decided that the Death Guard were having all the fun, so they packed up and moved in with Morty and the guys. Typhus hooked them up with some pretty nasty diseases, particularly, a sweet little bug known as the Iron Blight. The deal was, so it is said, that Typhus told them "You gotta sand off those stripes tho.". So, the Iron Blight Vectorium was born. They spend way too much time grinding down the spikes they keep growing, and having the tentacles surgically removed, but when they aren't doing that, they are pretty happy to be smashing faces on the field and generally looking way more grimdark than their traditional DG kinfolk.

This is round one of what I'm hoping will be a much larger army. I'm a mono-army player at heart and usually just roll with Orks, but the sculpts of this army really drew me in. I love the design choices overall, (Minus all those spikes) and have had a real blast painting these up. It's slow going with a 6 month old, but I'm getting by. Round two is going to consist of three Haulers, another Drone, two Crawlers, ten more marines, twenty Poxwalkers, twenty Cultists, and ten to twenty Plague bearers. Let me know what you think of my scheme and theme please?

Thanks!

Typhus

I like your paintwork. You've got real skill. The paint/colour choices don't work for me, but I think it's just too many colours competing for attention --- the models don't really draw my eye toward any one part.

The Bloat Drone works, but I think that's because he's a simpler palette. The larger combined shots really become just a confetti-colour to me, lol.

All of that doesn't matter as long as you like them

Amazing stuff. Dig it all. Praise be to our Nurglyness.

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

I'm not fond of the sculpts which I find well made but too "US comics".

But your paint scheme put them back in the grimdrak zone and is really well executed. Great work !

Greetings matphat, I like what You did with Typhus, He does not look comically posed with the adjustments that You have done.

The rust work on the models looks really nice. They look like Iron Warriors that are slowly rotting out armor-wise.

Thank You for sharing!

They are very nicely painted, and that's one of the better looking plaguecasters i have seen.

realism is a lie
