Lesser Daemon of Chaos

We resumed the D&D campaign last weekend and I made a lot of new minis for this session. Really emptied out the bits box (with some ebay supplements too!) and went to town. Made a bunch of henchmen, some knights, skeletons, goblins, and mutants. The mutants are BY FAR my favorite; I had a blast making them. Just took some old ork bodies and threw a bunch of CSM, nurgle, and daemon crap on them.

The first photo is the DM's player character from an older campaign that he specifically requested a mini for. He's a giant dragonborn sorceror who is now the big-bad of the campaign. Also made him two lizard henchmen with spare bits.

Got some of the more imporant minis painted up for the session. The big bad dragon and two PCs: one is a giant paladin and the other a warrior. Also a group shot of all the painted minis.

And finally some action shots from the campaign. It was a blast! And, as always, my wife's PC was the MVP.

Excellent, the D&D minis are brilliant. The mechanical guy with a red arm really caught my eye, what is it ?

Looking great, liking some of those designs.

Look, everything is cool here but only real question we should ask is; how is that necron cabinet going?

Thanks everybody! The Eldar army is really coming together and the D&D minis were a nice change of pace.

Thanks man, I liked him too! He's just a hodge-podge of random unused bits. Mostly Necron but there's mecahnical stuff in there too, plus the arm and the spear are from a Lizardman kit. It all actually came together pretty well once painted.

I actually recently finished the spackling between all the foam. It really tied everything together! Then gave the whole thing a coat of paint. Well, 3 coats I guess. With all the foam and insuluation, I had to use water based spray paint, which is tough to locate a specific color. It's such a specialized product that they really only seem to make the basic colors. Oh well. I did a dark brown base coat, then did a lot of light brown to surfaces, followed up with a dusting of safety neon orange. It's a good enough base.

Up next will be to dry brush with some good rust colors, pop some detail in areas, and wash with the GW paints to match the Necron bases. Then comes the worst part: drilling and hanging the door! It's so much harder than you'd think! Having to line it up perfectly is just such a pain.

Always love to hear feedback. So what do you guys think?

Hey, guys. Long time! I have continued to make a lot of warhammer stuff, though I got away from posting here on Dakka. The Exodites are coming along, the Necron Cabinet is finished, and I started a Blood Angels (Stormcast Sigmarines) army.

I've been learning how to make a website and have a bunch of stuff posted. Please check it out! JEFFYPMINIATURES.COM

Good looking and decent start with it as well!

Some little bug on my Mozilla Firefox: I see "plus" -icons going on top of the navigation bar and header. these three icons belong ot the first row of posts.
