My Son has the aircraft carrier. He loves it. and it's neat that it both shrinks a bit and still has plenty of room inside for die-cast planes.
The planes are closer to 1:144 in scale but Even at that scale it's much too small to be a full sized carrier. However, for a 6 or 10mm wargaming, it's a nicely compressed size for gaming.
It'd actually look pretty good with the Robotech RPG tactics figs.

Because, like the 80s original, it's a stealth recruiting ad for the US military?

It's like making toys for The Shawshank Redemption.
It's not a kids film!

Since when has that mattered when you have 6 year olds decked out in full fortnight gear and school lunchboxes proudly display the figure of a mass murdering child killing dark lord of evil and his faceless psychotic minions?
A bit of fly fly zoom zoom pew pew seems to be rather tame compared to that.

The internet does not disappoint.
In all seriousness, the original Top Gun was all about making the military cool again. Cool guys, cool jackets, cool jets, hot chicks and overcoming the Vietnam draft-era hostility to the military. I'd be shocked if the new film (is it even out?) wasn't trying to do something similar in the wake of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Mission Fleet Millenium Falcon. Made for 2.5" figures, but deliberately underscale. Looks like it should fit quite well with 28mm.

Just to be clear, I am in no way saying that adding some wings and engines to a 19" toy bullet train will make it a good space shuttle.

I'm just saying I don't rule it out either.

Some of you might remember the Imperial Troop Transport from the days of Sears Christmas Wish Books, an odd boxy toy that never actually showed up in Star Wars till the days of the Rebels cartoon 30-40 years later, and then the Mandalorian last year.
Well now there's an updated toy.
https://smile.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Vin-Vehicle-Duckboat/dp/B07VJJ7YMK/ref=pd_sbs_4/131-7987237-4837004
At $50-$70 it's not really an impulse buy but might be worth it. It would make a great shuttle for Stargrave or other games.

My son has that. It's an incredible toy. Removing the 6 couplas from the sides and capping them and putting windows over the driver slits would turn out into a great ship. Its got a great loading ramp and removable roof.

True but it'd be alot more expensive to have something that big printed.
You could print it yourself but even then it'd take an incredible amount of time and.printing plastic

Not really. You don’t print things as solid blocks, so larger brick shaped objects are actually quite material efficient. Only need 5% or 10% fill.
The following huge ship thingy was less than 1spool, even though I needed 3 separate build plates to print it all.

Some die cast cars from 7-11.
The black suburban is a bit big for 40k but passes for a van. The two station wagons are just about perfectly sized.

My son is going to flip out when he sees the new snap ships. Especially the Mechs.
That whole system is one of the best sci fi toys ever.
If he ever tires of it the entire collection will get drafted into my 10mm terrain collection.

So The Corps has a new flier, should be about Vulture/Valkyrie sized. But I could only find it in the EU, The Corps might be dead in the US, no one seems to carry them. https://www.smythstoys.com/de/de-de/spielzeug/action-spielzeug/actionfiguren/weitere-actionfiguren/the-corps-elite-gryphon-aerial-assault-craft/p/165697 Unfolded this truck would make a great objective. Some sort of mobile anti-ship laser. The cars are Matchbox sized and obviously won't work. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XNR1TH9/?coliid=IHT5Y1W9EZ716&colid=1AQNEF7RBO6IS&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&pldnSite=1

I love it how they just change the scale of the tank to make it the same footprint as the tiny jeep thingy
The HMG gunners need some serious chiropractic help (and about 100% more head)
Love it!
