So admittedly my username is a bit confusing, since I am Nord on other forums, Huginn on this one.

Nevertheless, welcome to Nord's Painting Saga. First, let me get my shameless plug in - visit my excellent facebook page

I work on lots of different projects, so expect a variety of stuff. In January I painted some Mordor orcs (Oathmark Goblins really) and some dwarfs.

Currently working on a classic Middlehammer figure from 1992......they year I started Warhammer

Wow! Funtastic stuff! The bases are top notch performance, how did you get those purple flowers happening?

Thanks guys.

The flowers are really easy. Dilute some pva (white) glue. Tear up flock into tiny bits. Drop into pva/water mix, stir it up so it's all covered. Put it on your base and let it dry rock solid. Dab on paint colours of choice. Done. And really tough for gaming.

Those are really lovely models. The Orcs look very classic fantasy. I personally prefer the movie style models from GW, but in terms of the typical art work for Tolkiens works these are bang-on. They look just like the Orcs I used to see in the illustrated LOTR as a kid! The painting is terrific on both sets of warriors. Cracking job.

Thanks. A lot of people reckon the orcs are based on Angus McBride illustrations from the 1970's/80's. They do have that kind of vibe. They actually mix with the GW LotR orcs really well.

Started collecting orcs and goblins from 1992 (like you do) and picked up a troll in the process. Old school figure in a more modern paint job. More pictures on my facebook page.

Lovely work throughout, loved the orcs! Gotta ask you, who produces those orcs? I dont think they are GW range?

Orcs are actually goblins, Oathmark, a joint venture between Osprey Games and North Star Games.

February was a lean month, but here's something a bit meatier for March - Krom the Paunch.
