I am looking around after a 9 or 10 year break from 40k
trying to decide if i want to dust off the IG or the nids (granted the IG is darn near fully painted, the nids will be stripped and repainted seeing as a couple colors were discontinued in the gap)

Anyways, this is what i am considering for my nids to get back into the game
i have always had a massive crush on the warrior models, since 3rd edition, and i have like 24 of them so i really want to use them)

JUST picked up the codex (and my Asta militarum) codex's last night
been reading through

I DO like warriors and i understand horde is king right now, but i dont want to play a "Meta" list

besides i always liked my medium bugs best (lictors, warriors, ravenors, hive guard etc etc)

You could just use basic gaunts, or maybe have 10 devourers and 10 basic in a unit, and then use the extra points for Ravenors or possibly venomthropes?
