We all know that Adeptus Custodes are created using a different and longer process than standard space marines that makes Custodes stronger, bigger, more agile....

But now we have the Primaris Marines.........who are bigger, stronger, more agile than standard Marines...

So the question now is:

Who would in in a duel between a Custodes and a Primaris???

Custodes. This is obvious. You know this. There is no debate.

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

Custodes. There finely tuned, hand crafted space marines with higher grade tech and the closest enhanced warriors to primarchs made.

Each one unlike a marine begins augmentation not a child or tanager but a baby only few years old.

Marines are strong but there mass produced. Custard creams are manufactured uniquely, hand crafted.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

In a main battle, Primaris, they are designed to be, in small scale skirmish or assassination tactics, Custodes, because they are designed to be.

One on One, Custodes.

A more interesting question might be, "How many Custodes would it take to kill Alpharius in a straight fight?"

Alpharius being the weakest of the Primarchs.

Perhaps not technically a Marine Chapter anymore, but the Flame Falcons would be pretty creepy to fight.

"Right. Well, did you at least use the burnas?"

"We tried, but the gits was already on fire."

Two, because those Custodes are also Alpharius. He then outnumbers himself two to one, so he stands little chance.

From what I remember, Alpharius was about to impale Rogal Dorn before the latter's huscarl intervened in the duel to deviate the blow and allowing Dorn to win. Not bad for the weakest Primarch To me the weakest Primarch would be Lorgar before the awakening of his psychic powers.

I asked it not long ago.

Considering Black Library has implied that Custodes might not be superior to Space Marines previously it's a perfectly valid question to ask.

Custodes - they are Priamris +1

You'll have to wait until next year's Primaris Custodes box that'll come with Primaris Gulliman

On this note do you reckon GW will ever make any established characters primaris?

Maybe Calgar or someone else who idolizes G-Dogg enough to undergo the modifications.

I actually thought they were going to with the Blood Angels, but nothing yet. Prior to the codex release there were rumors of a new Blood Angels/Dark Angels Triumvirate release, and the end of Devastation of Baal just a few weeks earlier saw Dante severely wounded and also named Warden of Imperium Nihilus by Guilliman. I really expected we would see a new Dante model and that he would become a Primaris.

"A straight fight" is not really Alpharius' thing...

Calgar is supposed to receive a partial primaris package in the way that luther received a partial space marine package (per Dark Imperium novel). It's years down the road, but when they stop producing the partial-scale marines the fluff is already there to support it.
