As the previous Statuesque Miniatures thread was victim to Photobucket, I've decided to start a new thread. You can see the original HERE.

Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce the release a new set of Statuesque Female Heads in Heroic Scale – the Techno Roiders!

Encased in environment suits and swollen to a massive size by a regime of drugs and arcane technology, the Heroic Scale Female Heads - Techno Roiders set is designed to allow you to convert your large, armoured super-soldiers.

SMA311 Heroic Scale Female Heads – Techno Roiders is available as a New Release Special Offer for only £4.45, saving 10%.

Don't forget to check out the comparison photos on my blog for various test conversion using all sizes of Statuesque Female Heads. Please note, these heads are larger than the existing Heroic Scale Female Heads range.

This offer will run until Sunday the 4th of March, or while stocks last.

You're ok with the look of them on primaris bodies? I'm not a fan. They look great on the cadian and Dreamforge figs though.

These heads are specifically made for marine bodies, what's not to like?

It's a 'many workplaces in the US' thing. Basically some US companies block non-US websites. Something weird about security and not needing to access them while at work.

The pictures on the blog linked above? The heads look too go-go-gadgety and small for marine bodies as pictured. While the former can be fixed by cutting the neck down further, the latter can't. Again, that isn't a dig on the sculpting which I think is very nice but rather that even with the heroic scaling that I think they look better on other models. YMMV.

These look great! Even though they're meant for marines, are they the same size as your other heroic heads?

BTW, have you ever considered making some sort of elf heads?

It is listed elsewhere, but these are bigger than the regular heroic scale heads.

I did some test conversions that you can see here: https://www.facebook.com/statuesqueminiatures/posts/10156197648032384 I still need to get the proper photos taken.

As BrookM says, these are bigger than the rest of the Heroic Scale range. There will be smaller, standard Heroic Scale and Heroic Scale Narrow versions eventually, without the neck gubbins. Elf heads are definitely a good plan, it's just finding time to do it.

Good to hear! This look will work well with all sorts of tech gangers.

Here are the comparison photos. I'm pleased with how the Primaris Marines look, particularly in hand.

I had another go at integrating the Techno Roider heads with the smaller MkIV marines. This time I deepened the neck socket with an appropriately sized drill bit - just twisting it in my hand until I got the depth I wanted. It really didn't take long. Don't forget thought that plenty of folk have used the smaller, standard size Heroic Scale heads on wee marines to good effect.

Is there a version of these sculpts that would work well with Scions?

In canonical terms, probably the same stuff that prevents wimminz from being regular Marines.

In actual terms, people should do whatever they like with their own toy soldiers.

Oh, oh, I love a bit of the old "presenting any disagreement whatsoever as unreasoning rage", especially the "anyone who disagrees with your particular preferred change to an IP is [insert chosen style of bigotry here]" flavoured ones.

Well quite.

In other news...

Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce the release of Heroic Scale Female Heads NARROW – Veterans.

The Heroic Scale Female Heads NARROW - Veterans set is designed for you to convert your heroic scale miniatures with a variety of characterful details.

Whereas the SMA301-307 Heroic Scale range is great for converting heavily armoured space knights or troopers in fatigues and body armour, the Heroic Scale Female Heads NARROW - Veterans set is designed specifically for converting heroic scale female figures, or more slight heroic scale figures in general.

SMA354 Heroic Scale Female Heads NARROW - Veterans is available as a New Release Special Offer for only £4.25, saving over 10%.

Don't forget to check out the comparison photos on my blog for various test conversion using all sizes of Statuesque Female Heads.

Due to an unfortunate combination of the flu, snow in March and the caster being very busy in the run up to the Salute convention, various items have been unavailable for some time. These items are now back in stock and available again at 10% off for the next couple of weeks.

The full list of items at 10% off are: SMA301 Heroic Scale Female Heads; SMA306 Heroic Scale Female Heads – Bionic; SMA351 Heroic Scale Female Heads NARROW; SMA201 Pulp Scale Female Heads; SMA202 Pulp Scale Female Heads 2; SM013 Commissar Vespera Venko; PA001 Phantom Ace and Pulp Girl; PAW001 Pulp Alley Weapons 1.

Some other items are still out of stock as they sold out after I placed this restock order, but should be available again in a few weeks.

These offers will run until Sunday 6th of May, or while stocks last.

Um, Blood Angels lieutenant has same style neck and same style head. I honestly don't see any size issue with those (except they fit more 'feral' chapters, like SW or Space Sharks, wish there was more 'regal' option for Ultramarines or BA too). They even look slightly too big for Squatmarines, on Primaris they are fine.

 Kid_Kyoto wrote:

No. In fact, new Space Wolf book states at least some SW examined the idea and found it worthwhile (or at least possible) in face of their recent losses. Cue huge wave of denial and rage from some

I'll be putting a restock order in this week, so hopefully sometime next month. I should have got it done sooner, but I didn't want to have two restock orders off at once and the restock that just arrived took double the usual time. Shouldn't be a problem now that Salute is out of the way though.

Statuesque Asylum

This time, we have a slightly different release from Statuesque Miniatures. These Heroic Scale and Heroic Scale NARROW Techno Raider sprues are available in very limited quantities.

The Techno Raider sprues are master castings - the intermediate stage between the original part and the production castings I usually sell. I realised that due to shrinkage from moulding and casting, the final product would be too small. However, the master casting size is just right, so I have decided to release these.

Revised versions will go into full production later in the year.

Heroic Scale Female Heads – Techno Raiders Sprue 1 is priced at £2.75 and available in very limited quantities.

Heroic Scale Female Heads – Techno Raiders Sprue 2 is priced at £2.75 and available in very limited quantities.

Heroic Scale Female Heads NARROW – Techno Raiders Sprue 1 is priced at £2.75 and available in very limited quantities.

Heroic Scale Female Heads NARROW – Techno Raiders Sprue 2 is priced at £2.75 and available in very limited quantities.

Order now to avoid disappointment as the Techno Raider sprues will not be restocked in their current form.

Please note, these Heroic Scale and Heroic Scale NARROW heads are the same volume as the existing Heroic Scale and Heroic Scale NARRROW ranges, but have different facial proportions. Check out the various test conversions I've put together on my blog.

Additionally, various items have now been restocked and are available again:

SMA302 Heroic Scale Female Heads 2
SMA304 Heroic Scale Female Heads – Veterans
SMA311 Heroic Scale Female Heads – Techno Roiders
SMA352 Heroic Scale Female Heads NARROW 2
SM021 Hong Kong Killer Fembots
SM022 Mei-Lin Mayfair and the Hong Kong Killer Fembots

Could you elaborate a bit on the future of the techno raider heads? What does ' not be restocked in their current form' mean? Will they return in some other, updated form?

Certainly. These master castings are what I consider the 'right size' for their intended use, but due to shrinkage from another stage of moulding and casting, the resultant production castings would be too small. So I need to rework and resize them, have them reprinted and then go through the various manufacturing stages. This will take a while and they need to find their place in the production queue, so won't be on sale until later in the year.

So these are not limited edition, just a limited number of castings which I am selling for those who want them now, rather than waiting until later. Being master castings, they're generally a little bit sharper than their production equivalent. And selling them means I don't make a total loss on the investment already made.
