So my daughter has dipped her toe into wargaming with X-wing, we bought the blue starter set and two more Rebel ships (a B wing and the captured TIE fighter for her to play as the 'Good guys').

She's 5, but shes very sharp with games and after 3 plays she has the actions down, still makes movement mistakes of course but she's getting the hang of it. What are the more 'fun' ships out there
to play with (for Rebel and Imperial alike) to keep things interesting, so that we can add a ship or two a week as she gets more adept at the game?

Hey Zach, good to see you getting into x-wing!

I would deffinatly recommend getting things from the Films or series to start with, it seems to help peoples enjoyment (esecially little ones) when they fly things like the Millenium Falcon compared to the G1-A... Though you only mention Rebels and Imperials and no Scum, Scum is love...

I would recommend getting a Falcon (probably Heroes of the Resistance box as it also gets you another T-70), Tie Advanced, Y-wing, TIE fighters, Lambda/Upsillon shuttle, the Ghost...

Also use a site like this so you never have to buy cards...

Oddly enough she hasnt seemed to care about the Falcon, for me SW was always about Han Solo but she's all about the new movies.

Thats not a bad idea about the box set, I want to make getting new ships a weekly/biweekly thing but I could always just keep the box hidden, maybe.

That site is awesome.

If she likes the new movies, then she'll love Rebels. If she does, the Ghost is a great big ship that can be very forgiving.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

If she is into the new movies, she'd probably like the Heroes of the Resistance box set. It has the 'new' Falcon and Poe Dameron's black Xwing. It also has a ps9 version of Poe.

A list with Rey flying the Falcon with Fynn as crew paired with Poe and BB8 and some other upgrades is an effective and fun list.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

I like both suggestions, the Ghost is nice and big, and the Heroes box sounds like it at least has the cards she'd like.

I'll second both the Heroes and the Ghost box, they are pretty much squadrons in a box, just add Sabines fabulous TIE and good to go
