Hi Chaps,

So which battle companies would you like to pop up in a future White Dwarf?

Dunlendings and Khand come to mind, are there any others?

A pure Dale, and a pure Erebor list (though I understand why they were combined, individually they'd be a bit boring!)

Numenor is missing for me, but I understand why it wasn't in the book as it's a historical force after all.

1500
1500
1500
2000
WW2 28mm Germans and French

Good shout, I didn't think of historic forces.

I don't think the Battle Companies system is tied down to a particular time though, that's why you can have forces for Erebor/Dale or Laketown.

The Wildmen of Druadan have a battle company yet either right?

You mean Dunland? They don't either, but they don't really have options worth making their own id say

Well Dunland do need their own battle company, but no the wildmen of Druadan are the savage jungle tribes which help the host of Rohan evade the Easterling army and turn up at Minus Tirith on time.

Dunland have the prerequisite 2 tiers of troop with sword, bow and spear alongside a hero so I don't see why they don't have enough options.

From a GW perspective they only sell the named hero and 3 still classified metal dunland warriors. The models have 0 options. They much rather try to sell you a single box or box and some add ons then 3 metal figures you need to convert up

From Adam Troke's perspective, he said they will be releasing additional battle companies in the future!

Strudel does make a fair point about the model availability, maybe Dunland will be part of a 'combo' battle company like the Erebor/Dale one.

Pure wish listing, I would love to see a Beornling or Men of Rhovanion battle company as well! As you can see, I like savage and strong mannish factions rather than wimpy Gondorians

the middle earth team have confirmed more companies are on the way, though not which ones just yet.

I also think we will likely see the return of the currently OOP dunlending warriors at some point over the next couple of years.

I would love to see a Dunland battle company in WD but think it may be a good idea to make the models a little more available first.
